October 30, 2013 - Wednesday

Grace normally doesn't get on the furniture at all, but last night I washed her bedding and it wasn't dry by bedtime. She barked a while and then I realized she was gripping about not having a bed because around 1am she decided she was going to sleep in a bed regardless. She hogged the bed like crazy.

October 29, 2013 - Tuesday

I gave Grace a bath this evening. I got her into the shower and asked her to stay while I got a couple of towels. She was good and stayed, but she started making some funny faces. As you can see she's not a big fan of baths.

October 28, 2013 - Monday

I was messaging a friend on FB during the evening and forgot to put my laundry in the dryer until kinda late at night. I had to wait up until my blanket was dry. She mocked me, but only because she doesn't know how comfortable this blanket is.

October 27, 2013 - Sunday

Went to a friend's house for dinner and a movie. This was in her tree outside her kitchen window.

October 26, 2013 - Saturday

I took Grace for a walk as the sun was setting this evening. The sky was full of clouds coming in to bring the rain we got later that night. It looks like something up there is on fire.

October 25, 2013 - Friday

I took Grace with me for half the day at work. I met a good friend for lunch and then took her home. Like most dogs, she loves to ride with the window down. I wish I could get a pic like this going down the highway with her lips flapping in the wind.

October 24, 2013 - Thursday

I didn't really feel like cooking when I got home, but for some reason my fridge freezes things if they're in there too long. I didn't want these veggies to freeze. I grilled the chicken on the grill and made this pasta with olive oil and lemon. I'm so glad I cooked. This was really good.

October 23, 2013 - Wednesday

I wish I could say I was out somewhere in the country sitting on a porch watching the sun set with a drink in my hand, but in reality I was in the parking lot at a local Kroger picking up some groceries for dinner.

October 22, 2013 - Tuesday

I think my girl is finally completely comfortable around me because she has started farting.

October 21, 2013 - Monday

I lift up my eyes to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber... Psalm 121. I'm not one to quote the Bible but sometimes He reminds me He loves me.

October 20, 2013 - Sunday

I went to my sister's house to see my niece and her new baby girl, Ava. She's so cute with lots of dark hair. These socks were quite a bit too big for her. I took Grace with me to meet the family and Ava. My niece wouldn't let Ava ride Grace.

October 19, 2013 - Saturday

So the other day I made dinner with veggies in a lemon garlic sauce for a side. I used the leftovers in a fritata this morning. I thought the lemon might be a bit odd with eggs, but I was so wrong. This was delicious.

October 18, 2013 - Friday

Had to get up crazy early for a doctor's appointment for Riley. It's been a really long time since I've seen the sun rise. I hope it's a really long time before I see the next one.

October 17, 2013 - Thursday

I took Grace for a walk today and saw this guy surrounded by a bunch of birds. They all flew away when we walked up. I think they got to him though because he couldn't fly away. He stood still long enough for me to take this then he wandered into the grass.

October 16, 2013 - Wednesday

I got home a little late and didn't realize that I hadn't taken a picture all day. I turned on my computer to do some work. I ran some updates on my computer and camera. Testing the camera afterward I took this. Nothing special but reminds me of my friends at TMA.

October 15, 2013 - Tuesday

Went to a going away happy hour for a friend that's moving away. These signs were on the fence in front of the place. It crossed my mind that the Village People might be inside. It was a great time even though my friend will now be across the country.

October 14, 2013 - Monday

I'm on a boat. A friend and I went on a dinner cruise for an early birthday celebration. Not the way I normally spend a Monday evening. So glad the weather cooperated. It rained almost all day but ended by the time we got there. Made for a nice cool breeze all evening long.

October 13, 2013 - Sunday

Grace had quite a big day today. We went to visit a friend and Grace got to play with a puppy that's almost her size. The puppy really wanted to play a lot too. She was pretty tired when we got home. She snores kinda loud when she sleeps on her back like this.

I was driving up 75 and saw a cloud that looked just like Woody Woodpecker. Traffic was heavy and moving too fast to safely take a picture of it.

October 10, 2013 - Thursday

A friend messaged me to let me know he was looking to see what the picture of the day would be for his birthday. I hope he likes root beer. Riley and I went to Twisted Root for dinner. I love their root beer.

October 9, 2013 - Wednesday

I took Grace with me to work since I was in the office alone. We had lunch with friends and dinner with another friend. She's such a good girl and so calm out and about. A little baby girl stopped to pet her tonight. It was so cute.

October 8, 2013 - Tuesday

So for the last several days I've been craving something sweet at the end of the night. I was at the grocery store and finally broke down and bought some Oreos. I got this mug in NYC a few years ago. This is how happy I am when I'm eating milk and cookies.

October 7, 2013 - Monday

My Japanese Maples are finally bouncing back with this cooler weather after the beating they took this summer. I love the color they add to the front of the house.

October 6, 2013 - Sunday

Riley and I went out to my parents' house to introduce them to Grace. My brother and his wife got back home from out of town just as we were leaving. My brother mentioned how tall Riley was so they got back to back to see. Riley's blurry because she's on her toes.

October 5, 2013 - Saturday

The weather turned cold today for the first time this season. I went to visit a friend for a bit and she gave me the idea to make soup. She even gave me some basil from her garden. I went home and roasted a bunch of tomatoes, a few other veggies and made some tomato basil soup.

October 4, 2013 - Friday

After spending half the day at the office on Wednesday the guys at work decided to have Grace come to work every Friday. We went out for dinner and drinks after work with a friend. We picked her name at dinner. She was so calm and well-mannered in spite of the crowd. It's just perfect for her.

October 3, 2013 - Thursday

My boss really married up. She stopped by the office and dropped off some cupcakes. I don't know where they came from, but they were really good.

October 2, 2013 - Wednesday

I found this girl online Monday, they told me she wasn't available yesterday. I had a dream last night that I had a big white dog. I called about her again this morning. When they told me she was available I left for an early lunch and brought her back with me. She looks like Zeke here, but in white.

October 1, 2013 - Tuesday

Went to meet a friend for dinner and drinks. We went to Ziziki's for the first time in a long while. It was nice out on the patio too. Great food, great weather, great company and great conversation.
