February 27, 2014 - Thursday

So this last month or so I've been walking Grace in the evening and looking up and seeing Orion. It was clear enough tonight to get a pretty good shot of it from my front yard. Grace is so good about stopping and sitting and waiting for me to get finished.

February 26, 2014 - Wednesday

Came home after work and did a little more work in the garage. I'm building a headboard with side tables for my bed. This is one of the side tables. This cold weather is slowing down the staining and finishing of the wood work.

February 25, 2014 - Tuesday

These little earbuds have little branding tags all over them. Regardless of what's written on the outside, what counts is how they sound. The one thing I don't like about them is when I'm wearing a shirt with a collar the microphone snags on it and pulls the buds out of my ears.

February 24, 2014 - Monday

After work I came home and made some red, meat sauce with Kalamata olives and lots of garlic. It was really good. And now I have lunch for the rest of the week.

February 23, 2014 - Sunday

This was taken during a break in what was a really great day. Started the day in church, met a friend for lunch, the food wasn't very good, but we made up for it later. Went to see a Cirque du Soliel show that was pretty amazing. Ended the day with dinner with friends at Ziziki's.

February 22, 2014 - Saturday

The guys I built the dog stage for came to pick it up this morning. I got up early to get it ready and clean up the garage a little. I decided to go ahead and get started on the next project on my list. First Grace and I had to go to Home Depot. Then I spent the rest of the day in the garage.

February 21, 2014 - Friday

I bought myself a new camera. It was delivered today at work, but I was too busy to play with it. Then I got home and had to finish up a little bit of the project I did yesterday. So by the time I was able to shoot something she was all sleepy.

February 20, 2014 - Thursday

The agency I used to work for hired me to build a dog stage for one of their clients, a dog rescue group. It was a good excuse to buy some more tools. They came to my place and filmed me doing some of the work to make a short film to promote their dog adoption campaign. Check them out at muttbombing.com.

February 19, 2014 - Wednesday

I spent some time this past weekend restaining my patio furniture. It's been a little more than a year and half since I made it all. After two summers and winters a new coat of finish is all it needed. It looks almost as good as the day we made it. I laid on one of the couches and had a beer.

February 18, 2014 - Tuesday

This is the last of the two ugly buildings that used to be across the street. I say "used to" because they started knocking this one down this afternoon. By the time we left the office there was only the back wall standing. At first you couldn't even see anything. I'm so glad that building is gone.

February 17, 2014 - Monday

I went to do a little grocery shopping after work. The sunset was incredible. I was able to pull in to a shopping center near my house and take this.

February 16, 2014 - Sunday

Just out side of the building where I go to church is a pond. I saw this guy sitting there as I was driving away. I had a lot of work ahead of me for the rest of the day. It was beautiful so it was nice to be able to spend the majority of the rest of the day outside doing that work.

February 15, 2014 - Saturday

After having lunch with a big bunch of the family at Joe T's in Fort Worth I drove out to north Irving to meet Riley. We had a long visit at the Sprint store and left with some new toys. This was at the corner of 635 and MacArthur on our way back to our side of town.

I was taking some pics of some promo pieces we did for World Cup. I set my camera down on the desk to move some things around and noticed this. I love the blues on ones side and the golds on the other. Happy Valentine's Day.

February 13, 2014 - Thursday

We had a visitor today at the office. This is Bernice. She made her first appearance here on May 7th, last year. She's a pit/dachshund mix that's the size and shape of a Basset hound. She's so sweet and fun to have in the office.

February 12, 2014 - Wednesday

The guy that stocks our office with supplies and other "essentials" keep our candy bowl full of mixed bags of stuff. Apparently no one in the office likes Rolos so I made this with them. They look so nice and shiny in the sun. I hope they don't melt.

February 11, 2014 - Tuesday

Those little crack selling girls were outside the grocery store today. I fell off the wagon in the store too and picked up the new Hershey's Chocolate spread. I did some "remodel" work on these cookies. I don't know if you know this or not, but I'm a genius.

February 10, 2014 - Monday

"My momma always said you can tell alot about a person by their shoes, where they go, where they've been. I've worn lots of shoes." "Well I don't know about anybody else, but I came from my room. I'm a kid with big plans. And I'm going outside! See ya later!" -Forest and Calvin, respectively.

February 9, 2014 - Sunday

What a dreary day. It was really foggy when I got out this morning to take Grace for a walk. I spent most of the day inside cleaning and doing housework. I'm also working on a redesign for this site. Maybe a change is coming soon. Maybe.

February 8, 2014 - Saturday

I slept in for the first time is a really long time. It's nice to not have any plans for the entire weekend. I got up and made this. 2 potatoes, 6 eggs, some honey ham sandwich meat and grated cheddar. Seasoned with salt, pepper and Ziziki's seasoning. Baked in the oven until it tastes amazing.

February 7, 2014 - Friday

Got back a little late from having dinner. The weather is warming up a bit, but I still have icicles and snow out back. I got a picture of one of the icicles hanging from my lights before they melted away.

February 6, 2014 - Thursday

Wabbit twacks. Shhhhhh. Be vewy vewy qwiet. I'm hunting wabbits. Woke up to snow on the ground this morning. Grace loves to run in the snow. This is one of her paw prints that you can hardly see anymore. I walked in to get the camera and when I came back this snow had almost covered.

February 5, 2014 - Wednesday

I probably should have worn this tomorrow for Throwback Thursday. This is my "thinking cap" our agency gave us years and years ago. I didn't do any real specific thinking today though. Work was pretty light today. It did keep my ears warm when I was walking Grace.

February 4, 2014 - Tuesday

Driving down the highway I was behind this person. Someone drew a smiley face in the dirt on the back of this car. I know it's kinda blurry but we didn't ever come to a complete stop. This (.)(.) was drawn on the other side of the the car which I thought was equally funny.

February 3, 2014 - Monday

About five years ago my sister knitted this scarf for me. She has two sweet, twin Goddaughters that wanted to help make "uncle Bo's" scarf. They were 3 years old then and they added in these two bits of yarn. I tied them in permanently when she gave it to me.

February 2, 2014 - Sunday

After a terribly disappointing Super Bowl, I went to the kitchen to make dinner for later in the week. I got my camera to take a picture of the food. Grace usually follows me in to the kitchen to see if I'm getting her a snack. Look at those sad, puppy dog eyes. She got a snack after this.

I went to a friend's house to do some painting. I was fed well for my efforts. I got this picture outside her window. This guy wouldn't turn around for anything. I guess he was camera shy. I've never noticed the details in the feathers of these little birds.
