December 30, 2015 - Wednesday

I went to spend the afternoon with a friend and her kids to exchange Christmas presents. We went out to dinner and ice cream later. Actually it was ice cream sandwiches and then dinner. It was good to see them all and spend time not having to rush. That might be the best thing about the holidays.

December 29, 2015 - Tuesday

One of my Christmas presents was a back up bottle of Jack. This should keep me supplied for a while. Made myself a drink tonight.

December 28, 2015 - Monday

We spent most of the doing just this. I did get out for dinner to meet Rane and her dad. It's been so long since I've seen my second daughter. It was good to get caught up with both of them. I love the side-eye Biscuit is giving me in this photo.

December 27, 2015 - Sunday

We had crazy weather the last two days, tornadoes and hail. It was almost 80° Christmas Eve. Today it was in the mid 30's. I got out this evening to run a couple of errands and it was so cold and windy. I could not have timed it any worse. Just after I left it began to pour even harder.

December 26, 2015 - Saturday

This was part of one of my Christmas gifts this year. I'm hoping that I can somehow convince the person who gave me this to give me more in 2016. It going to take all my wit and charm. I may be better off just asking where she bought it. I ate it without reading the label. The toasted coconut made this so good.

December 25, 2015 - Friday

I'm continuing my tradition of having a Christmas Story kind of Christmas dinner. It's amazing how busy this place is every Christmas day. It's also weird not seeing Riley at the end of the day but we talked for a little while.

December 24, 2015 - Thursday

My sister's Goddaughters made these for my mom. They help my sister knit a scarf for me years and years ago. They're still such sweet little girls even though they live so far away. This is the first time I've ever not been with Riley at all during Christmas. I'm growing up so fast!

December 23, 2015 - Wednesday

I went to get a haircut and do the last little bit of Christmas shopping around lunchtime. This pulled up next to me at a stop light. You got to be kidding me!!! I wanted to pass the guy a couple of bucks for a Fudge Bomb before the light turned green.

December 22, 2015 - Tuesday

At the end of the day I got a pleasant surprise, we don't work tomorrow. I took my good news and met a friend for dinner after work. Great company, good food and a couple of cold beers. Not a bad way to end the work year.

December 21, 2015 - Monday

My Christmas present from Riley arrived today. And yes, I opened it. Actually, the UPS guy dropped off a couple of packages and I thought it was a gift I needed to wrap. That's what I told Riley. Any way she gave me some lens attachments for my camera. I ended up messing around with them and took this of Pancake. She looks so thoughtful.

December 20, 2015 - Sunday

I went to meet a friend from high school for lunch. He suggested we go see the new Star Wars movie. I was okay with seeing it twice. I was representing the Dark Side today. We spent the rest of the day drinking and watching football.

December 19, 2015 - Saturday

I finished up my Christmas shopping earlier today then went out to meet a friend for dinner. I love driving out near the airport because of the wide open spaces. There was a beautiful sunset tonight. One of these days I'm going to drive out to the lake to take one of these.

December 18, 2015 - Friday

I went to see the new Star Wars movie with my brother, my nephew and my other nephew's son. A dad took his little daughter to see the movie. I saw her standing by the sink in the men's room dressed in a Darth Vader outfit, complete with a black skirt. I wanted to take her picture because she was so cute, but how creepy would that had been?

December 17, 2015 - Thursday

Friday I'm going to see the new Star Wars movie with some of my nephews. In preparation for this I watched the original 3 over the last couple of days. Pancake is quite the Star Wars fan now. She seems to especially like Yoda and the Ewoks. She got really excited when Luke fought Vader at the end.

December 16, 2015 - Wednesday

A client sent us several boxes of these as a thank you gift. They're the worlds smallest cookies. Each box came with a jar of Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip and Dark Chocolate. They are little, tiny, crispy morsels of goodness. And kinda addictive.

December 15, 2015 - Tuesday

I think it rained last night. When I walked out my door the ground was covered in these pine needles. I probably could have taken a better photo but I was in kind of a hurry this morning.

December 14, 2015 - Monday

One of the girls in the office brought in a bunch of Christmas cookies she made with her mom. They did quite th job decorating them. They were good too.

December 13, 2015 - Sunday

I woke up this morning and my arthritis decided that I should take it easy today. We watched football most of the day and did a little bit of housework. Grace decided to join for most of the day so it was quite a full couch today.

December 12, 2015 - Saturday

I got up early and went to pick up my little sister from the airport. We drove straight to the rehab center where my mom is recuperating. We visited with my mom and dad for a while and then went to visit my aunt while mom rested. She made menudo for my dad and her granddaughter who share a birthday. This was so good.

December 11, 2015 - Friday

Today was a bit of a long day. It ended with me having to rush some work over to a client's office. It was nice to get out of the office a little early too. It was nice to go home and relax especially since I have to get up early in the morning.

December 10, 2015 - Thursday

I met another friend for dinner tonight. Another Italian place with no little red candles. Actually no candles at all. Needless to say the food was a little disappointing. I'm not usually a fan of flourless cake either, but we gave it a try and we were both not too thrilled. Live and learn, its applies to love and choosing restaurants.

December 9, 2015 - Wednesday

Today was a very good friend's birthday. I got together with a few other friends to have an early birthday dinner for one of them.  It was a little Italian place. You know it's authentic when they have these little, old school red candles on the table. The food is really great and it was Half Price Bottles of Wine Night. Lots to celebrate.

December 8, 2015 - Tuesday

It was another gorgeous sunset this evening. I drove up to the roof of the parking garage. I had a hard time picking a photo for today. It was beautiful in every direction. That's downtown Dallas in the distance.

December 7, 2015 - Monday

Pancake wanted her fair share of screen time. Hahaha. It's still a little rare that Pancake will come and lay right next to me or in my lap. Partially because Biscuit is a pain in the butt. I don't remember what she was watching this time, but I think I have to start monitoring the amount of TV she watches.

December 6, 2015 - Sunday

Spent most of the day relaxing on the couch. Biscuit seems to be contemplating the intricacies of the world or at least wondering when we're going to eat next.

December 5, 2015 - Saturday

I went out to dinner with a friend. We sat at the bar and had a beer while we waited for our table. Later on the way to our table  I saw a big sangria go by. I had one with dinner and it was really good. This is what's left.

December 4, 2015 - Friday

We're still doing our Office Friday Breakfasts. One of the girls was craving cereal this morning and brought in a bunch for all of us. I had Trader Joe's Honey Nut "Cheerios" with sliced bananas. We were all standing around having cereal feeling like little kids again.

December 3, 2015 - Thursday

I had lunch with a friend today. She pulled this little pick cap out of her purse and told me she brought for me. It's funny what mom's have in their purses. I came back to the office and decided to add it to the moustache and bracelet/necklace on my little panda speaker. Kinda completes it, doesn't it?

It's the size of Grace but only poops Skittles and Starbursts. Whose kid should I give this to this holiday season???
