May 30, 2016 - Monday - Went to see mom. She's making improvements slowly but surely and I really like that.

May 29, 2016 - Sunday - This is Sven from Frozen, but I'm sure most of you knew that already. My friend's little girl and I have birthdays just a few days apart and I've been invited to this little one's Frozen themed birthday party on my own birthday. I haven't picked out a costume yet but turning 47 looks like its going to be a blast.

May 28, 2016 - Saturday - After our boss' daughter's graduation party our small work group went out to listen to some music. We saw a guy in a dark suit "dancing". It was like he was channeling his best Michael Scott. It was funny and sad a the same time but it was guud taims.

May 27, 2016 - Friday - I met a friend after work. We had dinner and just hung out watching TV. We stayed up late enough to get a midnight snack.

May 26, 2016 - Thursday - Went to a friend's for dinner. Chipotle has nothing on this bowl.

May 25, 2016 - Wednesday - Yes, the fourth time in 4 weeks. Still so delicious, easy and quick.

May 24, 2016 - Tuesday - Finally found a car for Riley last night and test drove it. Today after work I went over and did all the paperwork and then went to pick up Riley. We had a late dinner. The best part of being a parent is being able to put a big smile on their face and hearing "Thank you, Daddy" in your ear when she gives you a big hug.

May 23, 2016 - Monday - Today would have been the perfect day to just roll over and stay in bed. It was dark and rainy when my alarm went off. I went in to the office for a bit and then to a doctor appointment. So far I'm not going to explode any time soon. I went to look for a car for Riley and then spent the afternoon with a friend. I picked this up on the way home.

May 22, 2016 - Sunday - After all the walking yesterday my ankle and knee were paying for it. A friend invited me over for dinner. We had a bit of a feast and a little bit of ice cream for dessert. We did some grilling out back. I miss having a grill so much. She has a few of these growing in the back.

May 21, 2016 - Saturday - Went to Grapefest with a friend. Among the variety of foods and drinks we sampled this had to be the best, Red Velvet Funnel Cake. It was a great day to be there. Not only did I get to have this, but I found a great cigar shop and we saw giraffes and little ponies.

May 20, 2016 - Friday - I met a couple of friends for dinner, drinks and dessert after work. We started at Ziziki's with the artichoke humus. It was nice to have a long, relaxing evening with good food and good wine.

May 19, 2016 - Thursday - I'm writing this Sunday evening and for the life of me I have no idea what I did this evening. Whatever it was Biscuit didn't care about it either.

May 18, 2016 - Wednesday - Mom's still not doing so well. We could only go to visit her two at a time.

May 17, 2016 - Tuesday - A friend was having a bad day. I picked up the stuff to make this for her to cheer her up. Yes, it's the third time in three weeks, but I knew she would love it and it's still so good and simple. She ended up doing all the cooking. She topped it with some fresh herbs from her garden.

May 16, 2016 - Monday - It was busy day at the office. Came home and didn't feel like cooking or eating. Pancake did seem too interested in anything. She did come and sleep in my lap. I remember when she wouldn't hardly get near me. Even after all this time she still flinches a little when I reach to pet her when she's not looking.

May 15, 2016 - Sunday - It's been a while since I've spent a whole day just vegging at home. I'm still going through The Sopranos so it was a marathon day. That, cleaning and laundry. Pancake doesn't care for the show so she just sleeps. She has a little bit of a wispy mohawk.

May 14, 2016 - Saturday - I met a friend and her daughter for dinner and a movie. We had this as an appetizer. This is becoming one of my favorite restaurants. I've never been on a Saturday night and though I love the food they seemed to rush us out the door, offering to box up our plates even before we were done.

May 13, 2016 - Friday - My freshman year my brother's girlfriend, she was 19 or 20, dropped me off here at Meet the Highlander Night. She had a convertible  and parked right at the gate in front of a bunch of guys and girls. She leaned over, kissed me on the cheek and said, "See you after." Wish I had been cooler and played along, but I'm sure I looked just as shocked as they did.

May 12, 2016 - Thursday - I went out for a few drinks with one of the guys from work. It was just the two of us in the office but it was a really busy, non-stop day. A few drinks was just the thing after a day like today.

May 11, 2016 - Wednesday - I know I posted a photo of this just last week, but it's so good, easy and quick to make. This time I made it with mushrooms too. So good.

May 10, 2016 - Tuesday - I was moving a bit better today. I went to a friend's house for dinner. These were right over her house when I parked my car. There was a little bit of hail but it was really, really small and only lasted a minute or two.

May 9, 2016 - Monday - After being on my feet so much yesterday, I was having a pretty bad flare up. I spent the day on the couch, doing some work from home. Thankfully, days like these are few and far between. It was nice having these two for company, though taking them for a walk this morning was not pleasant at all.

May 8, 2016 - Sunday - My 2,000th photo in this collection. Fitting that it's my baby and me. My mom's not doing so well so the family got together at their place and did a bunch of yard work. She's going to be so happy when she comes home and sees all that we got done. I have such a great, big family and it's always fun to spend time with them, even if it's work.

May 7, 2016 - Saturday - I went up to Denton to pick up Riley. We went out for lunch and she showed me her favorite candy store on the square. It's really hard not to buy a bunch of everything. I did find a big supply of banana taffy and original blow pops. We might have to come back to this place.

May 6, 2016 - Friday - Today at lunch I went to Tony's to pick up dinner for me and a friend. I ended up picking up lunch for me and the girls in the office too. I think the girls really liked the tortellini that I usually get. I had spaghetti with meat sauce for lunch.

May 5, 2016 - Thursday - Happy Cinco de Mayo!!! It was just three of us in the office today so we went to lunch and had fajitas and a little margarita. Going back to work on such a beautiful day was really hard.

May 4, 2016 - Wednesday - After work I went to the grocery store with no idea what I was going to make for dinner. This crossed my mind as I was walking in. It's as good as it is simple and quick.

May 3, 2016 - Tuesday - A while back I made a big planter box for a friend. She posted a photo of it the other day and now a friend of hers wants me to give her a quote on project for her backyard. I went to Home Depot to price some lumber. If this works out I need to get this done before it gets hot.

May 2, 2016 - Monday - I think Biscuit is feeling a little left out with all the work I've been doing on Pancake's new FB page. She's always been kinda needy but lately she's been needy and annoying.

May 1, 2016 - Sunday - I met a friend for a late lunch at a Cuban place in Plano. I had the Ropa Vieja. My friend introduced  me to a great restaurant. Her idea to go to Ikea after wasn't nearly as good. I think I was in a food coma when I agreed.
