September 29, 2016 - Thursday - I went to meet a friend for dinner and drink after work. Traffic was crazy. We had Ratones. They are battered and fried jalapeños stuffed with chicken. I cover mine is queso and salsa. They're really great with a cold beer.

September 28, 2016 - Wednesday - The weather the last couple of days has been really great. I left at lunch to run some errands. I rolled the sunroof back first.

September 27, 2016 - Tuesday - I came home after work and did some cleaning and some laundry. I had a beer to end the night.

September 26, 2016 - Monday - This is the last photo I'll post from my iPhone 6s. I got my 7+ today. I'm hoping the camera works better in the dark and the zoom feature should be nice.

September 25, 2016 - Sunday - We played all the golf and ate all the meat. This is all that was left of the cigars and Jack. It was a great, quick get away.

September 24, 2016 - Saturday - Went just a bit out of town with a couple of friends to drink whiskey, smoke cigars, play some golf, grill some meat and celebrate a birthday. Couldn't have asked for a better day. One of the guys introduced the rest of us to picanha. What a beautiful piece of beef and he grilled it perfectly.

September 23, 2016 - Friday - I drove out to see a friend who wasn't feeling very well. I stopped and did a little grocery shopping for her before. I also had to stop for gas. It turned out just right. I got to her neighborhood at just the right time to get this photo at a stop light. I didn't see the bird until I got home.

September 22, 2016 - Thursday - I had to work a little late today. For whatever reason it seemed like a really long day. I went to pick up some cigars for this weekend and found a new cigar shop real close to home. The guy working there told me about their lounge. It sounded like a great idea. I went back and watched some football and blew a few smoke rings.

September 21, 2016 - Wednesday - The friends that I used to meet for dinner about once a month we're meeting for lunch now. It's a lot easier for this little one's mom now that he's come along. Just to remind everyone they named their baby boy after me and he's such a calm laughing little baby.

September 20, 2016 - Tuesday - I met a friend for dinner after work today. We start most meals with a glass of wine. It usually leads to great conversations and more wine.

September 19, 2016 - Monday - Today was a very busy day at work all day. Fortunately I didn't have to work too late to get it all done. Even though I have a short drive home there was a beautiful sunset that changed by the second the whole way home.

September 18, 2016 - Sunday - Sadly I have not been to see my incredibly talented, pie-making friend in way too long. I don't know how that's happened. I guess stuff and family and events and I need to spend time on my couch all happens. She was kind enough to make me an apple pie. This was so good. I say was cause it's gone already.

September 17, 2016 - Saturday - I went to the far side of Ft. Worth to see a friend's new house. We went out to get lunch after the tour. Nothing like an ice cold beer with a good friend when it's hot and sunny outside. Got to see one of my God-daughters too, making the day that much better.

September 16, 2016 - Friday - I went to see a friend who wasn't feeling well. I didn't take any photos today other than this one. I used to look up in the sky and think the clouds were just a beautiful canvas of color and shapes. It's completely different once you have someone you love up there.

September 15, 2016 - Thursday - Riley got a new job. I drove up to meet her for dinner and to help her fill out her insurance paperwork. She's still going to work at her last job. I met her there. This is Orzo her boss' service dog. He's such a sweet guy with really beautiful eyes.

September 14, 2016 - Wednesday - I met some friends for dinner. It was a group of us who all used to work together, but it's been who knows how long since we were in the same place. It's so hard to try to get so many people in one place at one time and this just fell together yesterday. It was so good spending time with old friends.

September 13, 2016 - Tuesday - Riley took a quick trip to California last week. She always brings me a little something back from her trips. I think it's funny they glue googly eyes on it. These spines are crazy sharp. I decide to hang it from my lamp at work.

September 12, 2016 - Monday - I left work a little early to go meet my dad and my little sister. She's flying back home today. These last several months have been really hard on her, not being here with the family. Leaving the family was hard for her too. But she's a big girl and she'll be okay. Just like the rest of us who are working our way through this.

September 11, 2016 - Sunday - The family had a big get together for opening day to watch the Cowboy's game. Lots of family and lots of good bbq. Barkley has a friend down the street that he stayed with while dad was with mom the last several months. He's finally home again.

September 10, 2016 - Saturday - I woke up really early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I got up and went to get my tire fixed. It's had a nail in it for about two weeks. When I came home I got busy making this. I should have stopped by the grocery store to get some mushrooms and tomatoes.

September 9, 2016 - Friday - This simple sweet snack crossed my mind yesterday while I was at the grocery store. I bought some bananas because I knew I had some chocolate. I should have bought some more because this is the last of it. This is quite possibly the perfect dessert snack.

September 8, 2016 - Thursday - Had edamame with a friend the other day and I've been craving it since. I stopped by the grocery store after work and stocked up.

September 7, 2016 - Wednesday - Went out to meet a friend for drinks after work. She, clearly that's a girl's drink back there, was having a bad day. Not sure we'll be coming back here again. There was practically no Jack in my Jack and Coke. My friend said her drinks were lacking as well. We resorted to desserts.

September 6, 2016 - Tuesday - Bought something to snack on when I'm up late. This is better than chips, right? I mixed in some more peanuts because there were too many raisins and m&m's. Seemed too much like candy to me.

September 5, 2016 - Monday - I had a Blow Pop for the first time in a long time today. I was sharing this info with a friend today and I took this as evidence that I had no more to share.

September 4, 2016 - Sunday - I met Riley for a late lunch today in North Dallas. As we were leaving I was looking for a place to fill her car with gas. The gas prices in this neighborhood are ridiculous. We drove somewhere else. We had a good long visit. I love spending time with my girl.

September 3, 2016 - Saturday - I met a friend for dinner tonight. After, we walked around for a while and found this place that sells popsicles and shaved ice. It wasn't too hot out and this was the perfect way to keep cool. Makes you feel like a kid again.

September 2, 2016 - Friday - For the last few days my arthritis has really been giving me a hard time. Thankfully while we were dealing with all of the stuff for mom it left me alone. I didn't feel up to cooking tonight. Earl Campbell was an incredible football player and he makes some really good hot links. I like mustard.

September 1, 2016 - Thursday - I was doing laundry tonight and have come upon something that I've been wondering about for a while. How many pairs of boxers does the average man own? I feel like I don't have enough and I'm always doing laundry because I've run out of clean boxers. If I got into an accident my mom would be so upset.
