June 29, 2017 - Thursday - Today is my Friday! I ended it with a drink.

June 28, 2017 - Wednesday - Went to meet a friend for dinner after work. Summer has fully kicked in and it's been really hot but not too hot for a shady spot at a cool Greek place with good bottle of wine. It helps that there's an ice cream shop just down the sidewalk.

June 27, 2017 - Tuesday - I had a bunch of tomatoes left from my grocery delivery the other day so I made another red sauce with the Italian sausage and lots of garlic. I didn't have any spaghetti so I used this rotini. It turned out really really good. And now I have leftovers so I don't have to cook for the next couple of days.

June 26, 2017 - Monday - I sleep with my tan blanket, my sheet on that and then the red blanket on top. I haven't slept well the last couple of nights and I didn't sleep at all last night. I woke up yesterday and my sheet was wadded up at the corner of the bed. How it got out from between my two blankets I have no idea. I left it like that.

June 25, 2017 - Sunday - This flare up has really been bothering me. A friend of mine gave me this to see if it would help. Don't know yet but it tastes pretty good.

June 24, 2017 - Saturday - Spent another day on the couch aching quite a bit. It wasn't a total loss because I got to watch a lot of The Office again. I think the show really got funnier when Holly showed up. I'm watching the show right now and Jim and Pam just found out they were pregnant.

June 23, 2017 - Friday - Just as I was dozing off last night I woke up to what sounded like my front door slamming and the dogs barking. I jumped out of bed and aggravated my knee and ankle. Don't know what the noise was but I woke up this morning aching all over. I went to see a friend after work for dinner and a movie. And to see my buddy.

June 22, 2017 - Thursday - I got out of the office early today so I could go out and spend the day with dad. I was going to take him out for Father's Day. He ended up taking me out for my birthday. We met my brother, sister-in-law and sister and had a great dinner. If it wasn't such a long drive I would have had another margarita swirl. It was so good.

June 21, 2017 - Wednesday - In order to meet the minimum order for free delivery yesterday I ordered a lot of stuff. I got everything to make the salad with fruit and had a bunch of grapes left over. I'll be snacking on these for who knows how long.

June 20, 2017 - Tuesday - I went in to work today even though I'm not doing that much better. I ordered some groceries before I left work and they were delivered just after I got home. I was able to cook because I didn't have to walk around the grocery store picking up all the groceries.

June 19, 2017 - Monday - I think all the walking I did yesterday aggravated my ankle again. I started rewatching The Office a while back. I took the day off and spent a lot of it on the couch watching a bunch of episodes.

June 18, 2017 - Sunday - In spite of my flare up I got out for lunch with my baby for Father's Day. She even took me out for ice cream after. If you have a daughter I hope she makes you as happy as mine makes me!

June 17, 2017 - Saturday - Thursday night as I was dozing off I heard what sounded like my front door slamming shut and my little dogs barking. Needless to say, it scared the crap out of me and I jumped out of bed. I've been having a bit of a flare up since. I had to scrap my plans for today and spent a lot of time on my couch.

June 16, 2017 - Friday - A friend who's been out of town took me out for dinner for my birthday. We decided to go see Wonder Woman after. The movie was pretty good but it may have been more that Gal Gadot is really distracting. Chris Pine is a decent looking guy but looks less than average next to her.

June 15, 2017 - Thursday - Had lunch with a friend at the Cheesecake Factory. This was the Pasta Napoletana. It was better than the description made it sound. It had a cream sauce in the pasta base that made the whole dish creamy when you mixed it up. So good.

June 14, 2017 - Wednesday - Riley has gone out of town for a little while. She asked me to go to her work and pick up her check and tips. With my extra spare time I decide to leave work early and get a bit of a snack while I was there.

June 13, 2017 - Tuesday - Life can sometimes be like a bowl of cherries. I don't really understand or know where that saying comes from, but I guess I'm always happy when I'm eating cherries.

June 12, 2017 - Monday - I met a really good friend and her little girl for a belated birthday dinner. We met at Tony's for one of my favorite dishes. It's always good to see them both. I had forgotten how silly my friends can be.

June 11, 2017 - Sunday - Went to my favorite brunch for my birthday. Even better, Riley and Rane were with me along with some really great friends. I may have had a few more mimosas than I should have, but Riley was driving so I had nothing to worry about. Not a bad way to spend a birthday.

June 10, 2017 - Saturday - I spent the day at home today for the first time in a long while. The first part of this month has been busy. I did a bunch of cleaning and laundry and then I made this pasta with meat sauce. I used the mild Italian sausage I found at Costco and the fresh basil from my friend's garden.

June 9, 2017 - Friday - Came home and made this Caprese Salad for a late lunch. It has basil and tomatoes from my friend's garden. It makes a world of difference. Went to a Happy Hour to see a couple of friends later. It's been too long since I've seen one of them. So good to spend time with them.

June 8, 2017 - Thursday - This not working all the time is kinda nice. I'm sure my bank account won't agree entirely but was available to take a friend to a doctor visit and then a late lunch. We stopped for groceries on the way back. I made her a frittata for dinner while we watched the hockey game.

June 7, 2017 - Wednesday - About 17 years ago our conversation somehow ended up on feet. I never paid attention but, definitely not pretty. She said, "I have pretty feet," slid out from behind her desk and kicked off some little red strapy sandals. There they were, very, very pretty feet indeed. Wish I had never had that conversation, because now I notice. It's like a curse.

June 6, 2017 - Tuesday - Our office unfortunately has gone through a bit of cutbacks. My hours and pay being one of them. I'll be looking for some freelance work right away, but in the mean time I'm taking advantage of the extra spare time. Today I met a friend for a late lunch. It was nice to see her again and be able to spend a lot of unhurried time getting caught up.

June 5, 2017 - Monday - I went out to meet a friend for dinner near the airport. After an afternoon with heavy rain and lots of thunder there was a beautiful sky full of clouds when the sun was setting. I bet it was even more beautiful up there.

June 4, 2017 - Sunday - Drove out to the country to celebrate my Uncle's 60th birthday. When we were kid's he used to come and take my brothers and I out for Putt Putt and Pizza. Other nights he'd take out my sisters. It was a great time with lots of extended family. Lots of laughs and lots of great food.

June 3, 2017 - Saturday - I went with a friend to go visit her mom. She's awesome. Well they both are, but in this story I'm referring to her mom. She made Chicken and Dumplings and a cake for me for an early birthday celebration. Not only did she make all that but she sent a bunch of leftover home with me. This is her dog Abby. She's as sweet as her owner.

June 2, 2017 - Friday - I don't always feel like cooking and I don't always have leftovers. I do like breakfast for dinner and sometimes that means cereal. I do like Honey Nut Cheerios and Raisin Bran, but most of my favorites are kid's cereals.

June 1, 2017 - Thursday  - I went to get the other half of my deep cleaning at the dentist. My insurance only allows you to get half done at a time. The woman who did this half was not the same person who did the first half. That seemed weird to me. She was really nice. My blood pressure was really high again.
