April 29, 2018 - Sunday - This is my brother's other dog, Dozer. He looks kinda high all the time. He doesn't hold still very much to take a photo so its even funnier that this is the one photo I got of him that wasn't blurry. I call him Killer too since he barks even more than Rusty. That aside he's become a lot more friendly since I moved here.

April 28, 2018 - Saturday - Today I went out to dinner with lots of family to celebrate one of my sister's birthday. It was a beautiful day to sit out on the patio. These were on the patio enjoying the weather too.

April 27, 2018 - Friday - Drove back home to Burleson from Dallas and stopped to get a photo of this guy. I don't know if it's a guy or girl, but when I stopped it was much farther way and started walking up toward my car. This place is not far from the house and they have pigs, goats and llamas too. Guess what day it is?

April 26, 2018 - Thursday - Supposedly oranges and Vitamin C are supposed to be helpful for gout. So much for an apple a day though I am eating a lot more fruits and vegetables than I used to.

April 25, 2018 - Wednesday - I went to meet a guy I've been freelancing with for a while. I hesitate to call him a client since he and his family have become more like friends. He has a relatively new baby boy and two English Bulldogs. This is Agnes. She's become quite friendly as well.

April 24, 2018 - Tuesday - A friend is having some work done at her house so I picked up dinner from one of our favorite Greek places and brought it over. This salad is pretty basic but whatever is in the dressing is really what makes this special and one of my favorites.

April 23, 2018 - Monday - I'm walking a bit better but still not winning any races. Went to visit a friend after work today. She has a little rubber ducky in her bathtub. She says it for when her grandkids come to visit, but I'm not sure if I believe her. I guess this is in the guest bathroom so maybe she's telling the truth.

April 22, 2018 - Sunday - Different dog, different couch, different city, same situation. I had been improving the last few days, but today was a couple steps backward. (Pun intended) Regardless of how I feel tomorrow I have to go into the office. Have a lot of work to do tomorrow.

April 21, 2018 - Saturday - Still having issues with my right leg. I was flipping through the channels and came across a western with Frank Sinatra. Who knew he was in a movie with The Three Stooges?!?!?!?!? I wonder if he was excited to meet them? I had to leave so I didn't get to see them in the movie. I need to see if Four for Texas is on Netflix.

April 20, 2018 - Friday - Another day stuck on the couch. Dad found mom's old walker which worked a lot better than a cane, though it was a bit depressing having to use one. I sat in my Chair of Cheer while drinking from my Cup of Cheer while doing more freelance work too. These flare ups aren't so bad when they're happening so much less often.

April 19, 2018 - Thursday - After three really busy days and some record number of steps each day. My ankle decided I needed a break. Woke up not walking well at all. Fortunately I had some freelance work that kept me busy on the couch for a while. Dog kept me pretty busy as well with some required belly rubs.

April 18, 2018 - Wednesday - Mom loved roses. She planted lots of bushes around the house. My brother gave me some tomato plants and I was out planting them and watering the herbs I planted the other day when I saw this. It's the first little flower on her roses. Dad and I talked about her a lot today. We talk about her a lot everyday.

April 17, 2018 - Tuesday - Spent the day with dad working on a water heater. Heading home I stopped by this place that I've stopped by several times for my photo of the day. I like this crooked tree and the setting sun was so nice moments before we got here. It's still a nice place to stop for a photo.

April 16, 2018 - Monday - A friend has a huge bush of these growing on the side of her house. I took a few photos and when I saw this one it looked to me like an angel with white wings and dress. It reminded me of my Godmother who collected all kinds of little angel figures. She was quite a special lady.

April 15, 2018 - Sunday - Got a last minute call to do some freelance work with my old office. I was coming into Dallas in the morning anyway so I just moved my schedule up a bit. It didn't take too long but I don't like being in the office after dark. Makes me feel like I worked all day. Hahahahaha

April 14, 2018 - Saturday - My brother called to let me know there was a party out here in Burleson for our old high school. I got to see a friend I haven't seen since then. It was really cold today but once this thing was lit it wasn't cold anymore. Thankfully the wind died down too. First bonfire since I moved to the country!

April 13, 2018 - Friday - I guess this Friday the 13th probably was pretty unfortunate for some who got this worse than we did. It rained really hard and we got a little bit of pea-sized hail. This one landed just outside the garage and I was able to pick it  up without being hit by anything other than the rain.

April 12, 2018 - Thursday - This is a stray cat that hangs out around the house. My cousin started feeding it so I guess it's not going anywhere. Dog isn't his biggest fan but he's really interested right up until the cat turns around and hisses at him. Then he runs like a big chicken.

April 11, 2018 - Wednesday - Today was a full day again. Did some freelance work, had a doctor's appointment. I've gained a little bit of weight. I blame the new living situation and the quality of bbq just next door. It didn't stop me from having fajiata nachos less than 5 hours later. It wasn't my idea.

April 10, 2018 - Tuesday - Walking in I heard this guy making a whole lot of noise over my head. I thought there was no way he'd be there long enough for me to put down my bag, take out my camera, switch the lens and take his photo, but apparently I was offending him more than I thought. Maybe he's old and wants me to get off his lawn.

April 9, 2018 - Monday - I was out later in the day and saw my brother working in his garden. I'm still surprised by the amount of time I get to spend with family living out here. I walked over and saw a bunch of these growing all over his yard near his garage. Can't wait for my sister-in-law's zucchini bread.

April 8, 2018 - Sunday - Today was very productive. Woke up early and did some work. Went grocery shopping and picked up some herbs at a garden center. Also got a tip on where to buy fresh mozzarella nearby. My brother grows lots of veggies so I'll be having Caprese salad very soon and very often. Hopefully the last cool day of the year so I made stew for dinner.

April 7, 2018 - Saturday - I met my cousin and his wife this afternoon to run some errands. They're in town for just a few days and then heading down to Cayman for a while. We found a pho place here in Burleson and it is really good. Who knew. Glad I found this place. I'll definitely be back again.

April 6, 2018 - Friday - Today was a really good, long day. Since I moved most mornings I wake up at the crack of dawn with the birds. I did some freelance work for a while, then went to visit a friend and ended the day meeting with lots of cousins that I don't get to see very often. Laughed more than I have in a really long time.

April 5, 2018 - Thursday - I was out running some errands, one of them being dropping off some stuff for the pups at the shelter. While I was there I decided to go walking around to say Hello to the dogs. Turning the corner I saw this guy. He walked up to the window to say hi too. If you want a cool Great Pyrenees go to Plano Animal Services. Adopt don't buy!

April 4, 2018 - Wednesday - Spent the day freelancing at my old office. It always good to see those faces. I also got out to have lunch with a friend. Also really good to spend time with her. Sitting in traffic at a complete stop for no reason, I don't miss at all.

April 3, 2018 - Tuesday - Drove into Dallas again to meet a friend for dinner. I came in early in the day and had a late lunch at my favorite pho place. It rained almost my entire drive in. They have a bunch of new flowers around the koi pond they have outside the restaurant. It was nice and sunny by the time I got there.

April 2, 2018 - Monday - My contribution to the gathering yesterday was supposed to be Banana Pudding. My sister sent me a recipe for it, as if I needed one. I made it according to the recipe and the pudding wouldn't set. It stayed in a thick liquid form all day. I decided to make shakes out of it. In this form it was a complete success.

April 1, 2018 - Sunday - Living in Dallas the last 15 years or so, having dinner with family is a special event. These last couple of weeks every evening seems special. Today was over the top, lots of family, friends, food, little kids hunting eggs and even a grown up hunt for little liquor bottles and hand sanitizer. It was April Fool's Day after all.
