October 30, 2018 - Tuesday - We're moved into our new office and today was my first day here. I think I'm gonna like it okay, but the walk from the parking garage is significant. I was so busy today I didn't take a photo of the new place until I was waiting for the elevator to go home.

October 29, 2018 - Monday - I felt even worse today so I decided to take the day off. I also took two naps on the couch today.  Toward the end of the evening, I decided to get back to watching this show. I've heard the Romanoffs is good too. Maybe I'll start that next . Or The House on Haunted Hill.

October 28, 2018 - Sunday - Started feeling kinda crappy last night and was feeling worse this morning. Spent the day sipping on this.

October 27, 2018 - Saturday - Got together today with a friend I don't get to see too often. We had lunch on a patio and then went to the Botanical Gardens to take advantage of the beautiful weather we're having. It's nice being able to walk around as much as we did without any issues. It was even better getting caught up with my friend.

October 26, 2018 - Friday - Went out to celebrate a really dear friend's birthday this evening. A big group of us started with dinner and walked over to some bar after. This was part of the decorations near our table. It was a good time seeing friends I've met through her over the years.

October 25, 2018 - Thursday - I drove out to the other side of the metroplex to see a friend after work. She was running late so I decide to take a detour up to Lake Grapevine to see if I could get a nice view of the setting sun. I found a spot that wasn't too muddy and there weren't too many bugs though you can see them in the shadows below the sun.

October 24, 2018 - Wednesday - A friend and I were going to meet for dinner after work but it was raining pretty hard. We decide to get Italian food to go from a little bistro in the neighborhood. We ordered Caesar salads, stuffed mushrooms and I don't remember what my order was called but it was really good.

October 23, 2018 - Tuesday - Back to work today, and back to work this evening. This is another unfinished sketch for the book I'm working on. The artist I'm working with is really talented.

October 22, 2018 - Monday - We got a bit of an early start coming home. Unfortunately, my friend was driving a little bit too fast through one of the small towns and we got pulled over. I took this while we were waiting for the officer to come back. Luckily he was kind enough to let my friend off with just a warning.

October 21, 2018 - Sunday - There were 3 semis parked near us this morning, each with their own "fan blade"? I don't know what you call these things but they are much longer up close than I would have guessed. (Yes, I'm saying, "That's what she said?" in my head.) Another great day spent with my God Daughter, her daughter and my friend. Sad we're leaving tomorrow.

October 20, 2018 - Saturday - Two weekends in a row spent at a 5 years old's birthday party. Me living my best life! She doing birthday shots at dinner after the party! Hahaha. The waiter brought her some extra cherries for her birthday sundae. She wanted the juice too.

October 19, 2018 - Friday - Driving with one of my best friends to Kansas to see his daughter and granddaughter. His daughter is one of my God Daughters. It was raining pretty steady for the first 4 hours or so, but after that it was clear skies and wide open spaces. It good to get away for a few days.

October 18, 2018 - Thursday - Met a friend for lunch today. Whoever decorated the men's room here is a big Star Wars fan. There are four posters for the movies and this piece of art with dozens of Stormtroopers embedded in what looks like mortar, very Han Solo/Carbonite, Empire Strikes Back-ish.

October 17, 2018 - Wednesday - Left work today a little early to go to the fair with Riley. We ended up not going because of the rain. We had an early dinner instead. I stopped to run some errands after dinner, one was stopping for a little birthday cake for a friend I'm supposed to meet tomorrow. I love the red velvet cake from this place.

October 16, 2018 - Tuesday - "Be vewy, vewy quiet. I'm hunting wabbits." Saw this little one as I was walking up to my friend's house. I took this through a tree on the walk so I wouldn't scare it away.

October 15, 2018 - Monday - As I've said before, our internet out in the country is really slow. So today when I got into the office I took advantage and updated my OS. I don't remember making this my personal icon, but remember when the Mars rover began sending back photos? This is still funny to me. It should be funny to you too.

October 14, 2018 - Sunday - I watched the Cowboy game in spite of being pretty busy working on the book project. I thought it was funny during the KC/Pats game when this guy scored a TD his momentum took him up to the crowd. There was a woman giving him the finger with both hands and this guy a few feet away doing the same. Stay classy, Boston!

October 13, 2018 - Saturday - I got out of the house for a little while to go eat a cupcake. It was my great-niece's 5th birthday. It was good to see her and the rest of the family. I don't know what I did to make her think I'm somebody really special, well other than just being me, but we take a selfie together every time we see each other. We have lots of selfies together.

October 12, 2018 - Friday - My new phone was delivered today! One of the downsides of living as far out of the country as we do is the only internet service available to us is really slow. I drove into town to Starbucks to use their Wifi. I couldn't get anything done at home while my phone was trying to download all my apps and finish restoring from the cloud.

October 11, 2018 - Thursday - Today had a nice slow start. I got to sleep in a little and took advantage of it and stayed in bed reading for a while. I did eventually have to get up and do some real work, photographing chickens wasn't what I was talking about though I took a few minutes to go for a walk outside since it was so nice.

October 10, 2018 - Wednesday - Woke up to a beautiful morning that lasted all day. It's been nice not having to go into Dallas for work this week though I've been pretty busy in spurts with another project. I got out to run some errands today but got a photo of this near the driveway before leaving.

October 9, 2018 - Tuesday - I woke up this morning to the relaxing sound of the rain. It was nice that I was able to sleep in a while. Like a lot of the metroplex, we've had lots of rain the last few days and our front yard is pretty much saturated. Walking over to my brother's house later during a break in the rain I saw this growing over the fence in the front.

October 8, 2018 - Monday - Wow!!! What a great moment to see. Not to mention breaking the record on a long touchdown bomb. I'm hoping he gets the 500th touchdown tonight too, but we keep losing our satellite signal because of the rain. Glad I caught this moment and I don't think it could happen to a nicer guy.

October 7, 2018 - Sunday - I got out for just a little bit today. I took this down the street. Wish I had gotten my camera out sooner while it's head was nearer the fence and not so obscured by the little bit of whatever is growing down there. I like it's spots.

October 6, 2018 - Saturday - I made this salad before for my family. My sister made it for all of us this time. I'm glad they like it enough to make it. It's nice to eat this and not have to make it too.

October 5, 2018 - Friday - I finished up work a little bit late. I thought of waiting around the office for traffic to die down, but I really didn't want to be there any longer. It's been a pretty long week so I called a friend and went to go meet him and some other friends for a late dinner. Great way to end the week.

October 4, 2018 - Thursday - After working quite a bit to get ready for a presentation today I got out of the office to get my hair cut. I got there a bit early so I went over to Eatzi's to get a little bit of lunch. It was later in the afternoon and I was starving. A while back my sister pointed out that my hair is thinning on top. It's lasted almost 50 years.

October 3, 2018 - Wednesday - Somewhere in the middle of the day I finally woke up from the sleepy state I've been in the last couple of days. I had a late lunch with Riley out on a patio. It was a beautiful afternoon to be outside. This was out there too. We had a good visit and I completely forgot to give her the Dum-Dums.

October 2, 2018 - Tuesday - Today seemed longer than yesterday. It may have been, I don't know. As I was packing up getting ready to leave I looked over and saw my mouse. I pushed this thing around a whole bunch the last few days. I know it's not hard work but my brain is feeling a bit cooked.

October 1, 2018 - Monday - Today was a long day at work, mostly because of the long day yesterday. I ran a few errands after work, and it looked like there was another beautiful sunset this evening. I wish I was somewhere near a lake or something where I could see it better instead of this parking lot in a shopping center in the middle of the city.
