January 30, 2019 - Wednesday - I was on the couch talking with Riley and doing some stuff on my laptop. I realized I hadn't taken a photo for today yet. I took my camera out of my bag and looked over my shoulder and Pancake was sitting there just waiting for me to sit back so she could get in my lap.

January 29, 2019 - Tuesday - For dinner tonight I made stew. It has definitely been too long since I've cooked on a regular basis. This tasted good but was a bit under seasoned.

January 28, 2019 - Monday - Unpacking my stuff over the last several days it's funny to come across stuff that I have on my desk that I photographed when I first started this collection. This bobble-head panda from a dear friend was my photo of the day on July 31, 2010. Maybe I'll retake some more of their photos now in my new space.

January 27, 2019 - Sunday - I made Apple, Cinnamon Oatmeal for a late breakfast this morning. This is only the second thing I've made since I've moved here. I need to get back to cooking more often though it's so hard with so many good places to eat nearby.

January 26, 2019 - Saturday - A friend texted me this morning and woke me up. As soon as Pancake heard me awake she jumped up on my pillow next to me. I was texting another friend who asked what I was doing so I took this to show her. It's a good thing because this is the only photo I took all day.

January 25, 2019 - Friday - During the move some of my Lego sets came apart. It took a little bit of time to get them back together and back on their shelves.

January 24, 2019 - Thursday - It's nice to have a bit of a normal schedule this week. Walking out of the office today the sun was setting and there was a nice glow on the clouds. I was hoping this little group of birds would fly a bit more in front of the clouds but this turned out pretty nice any way.

January 23, 2019 - Wednesday - For Christmas Riley got us tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show at Lone Star Park. We both really enjoy these shows and this one was no different. She had the day off and fortunately I didn't have to work late so we had plenty of time to get here early and avoid the crowds.

January 22, 2019 - Tuesday - I was driving north to meet a friend for dinner. I was stuck in traffic on 75 and the storm was blowing in. It was surprising to see how quickly the clouds moved over the highway and in a matter of minutes it was dark. When we got out after dinner the wind was blowing so hard my thin friend almost blew away.

January 21, 2019 - Monday - I spent part of the day at the zoo with a friend and we got to pet this owl. We also saw one of the funniest things ever.  We saw a really big turtle bite the toe of a really big alligator and the alligator was not amused. Today was a really great day until I got the news from my friend about Oliver this evening.

January 20, 2019 - Sunday - My very dear friend called yesterday to let me know I need to come see Oliver. He's not doing so well. He seemed to be doing better and I didn't think I'd be saying goodbye tonight. It turned out this is the last time I'd get to have him lying next to me on the couch. We were really good at that. I've never hurt so much for someone else's pet.

January 19, 2019 - Saturday - I unpacked the last of our stuff from the storage unit from Riley's car this morning. Went to dad's and got the last of my stuff from there. Came home, unpacked that and then went to buy some shelves. I did a bunch of unpacking too. This is a pillow a friend made for me to help support my arms when I sleep. I can't believe it's over ten years old.

January 18, 2019 - Friday - Today ended a long week, and I have so much to accomplish this weekend. Tonight I rested as much as I could on the couch with the two little ones. Pancake has come out of her shell quite a bit since she stayed with me before she lived with Riley. It's good to see her be more outgoing and less neurotic. She's still so sweet.

January 17, 2019 - Thursday - Today I cooked for the first time in our new apartment. I was so busy getting ready for Christmas, then I was sick, then I was dog/house sitting and then I worked forever. I can't believe it's been over a month since I put food in a pan. I went with something quick and easy. Turned out as good as always.

January 16, 2019 - Wednesday - I got out of the office while the sun was still shining a little today. We finished the bulk of the work yesterday so today and tomorrow we'll be finalizing some client changes and sending our work out into the world. It was nice to eat dinner at a normal time. I saw this while driving home.

January 15, 2019 - Tuesday - Okay, technically I didn't take a photo today, but I think being at work until the next day still constitutes it being the same day. Working a day this long is not a lot of fun, but having the company of the two people I was working with makes it as fun as it can be. I've been pretty fortunate to have had a lot of really great coworkers.

January 14, 2019 - Monday - After another long day, I came home and rested on the couch for just a bit before going to bed. Biscuit and Pancake kept me company for a little while. I'm beginning to think I'm getting too old for too many long days in a row.

January 13, 2019 - Sunday - We forgot to notify the building management that we would be in the office this weekend. It was really cold in the office. Fortunately we have lots of hot chocolate in the office, but we're running really low on marshmallows. I made this as much to keep my hands warm as I did to drink it.

January 12, 2019 - Saturday - I worked all day today as expected. I left in time to get home to watch the Cowboy game. Riley was playing with Biscuit on the couch. She has such pearly white teeth but looks like she could use some braces or Invisiline.

January 11, 2019 - Friday - Today I got all the final photos and videos for two promotions that are due early next week. I'll be working  pretty much nonstop for the next several days. Tonight when I finally left it was cold, dark and rainy and I just wanted to get home, get into my own bed and put my head on my pillow. And this is just the beginning.

January 10, 2019 - Thursday - Toward the end of the day at work we got out to go do a little bit of voiceover work. Walking through the production house I saw this in one of the offices. I stopped to do a little bit of wildlife photography.

January 9, 2019 - Wednesday - My friend and coworker is back from vacation. He's also as big a fan of pho as I am. He joked that I should do a Pho of the Day collection since we eat here quite a bit. I decided I am going to take a photo of my pho every time I eat here this year. Don't worry it won't be my Photo of the Day. At least not every time.

January 8, 2019 - Tuesday - Riley and I went out to dinner after work. It's been almost a week since I've been home since I was dog sitting and I feel like I haven't seen her in forever. We got caught up over dinner and decided to go to Deep Ellum for a little bit of dessert. It's nice she knows here way around here so well.

January 7, 2019 - Monday - The new girl in the office used to work with us about a year ago and I'm so glad to have her back. She has such a great silly sense of humor. She told me about a Ramen place a long while back and now that our office is much closer we went there for a "welcome back" lunch. It's not pho but it was really good.

January 6, 2019 - Sunday - This is a much better photo of Louie. Today I spent most of the day watching the playoffs. Still very excited about last night's Cowboy's win. I managed to fit a nap into the middle of the day just like this guy is about to do.

January 5, 2019 - Saturday - My God Daughter, BF and daughter are in town from Kansas. I got a chance to meet them for lunch in Arlington along with her dad and my other God Daughter. I feel fortunate they decided to stay another day and we were meeting  for lunch and not dinner. This place would be crazy later tonight during the game. Go Cowboys!

January 4, 2019 - Friday - A friend and old co-worker did a little work for my boss. I met him for lunch to give him some paperwork. One of the girls working at the restaurant had this done on her hand. Thought it looked cool so I asked her for a photo. She said she got it done this past Sunday.

January 3, 2019 - Thursday - Taking a photo of Pancho the other day it seems only fair that I should share one of Louie. He's an older Chow mix with a sweet disposition and a kind face, but horrible dog breath. Hahahaha. He's been my photo of the day more than a few times.

January 2, 2019 - Wednesday - My friend's wife's birthday is December 31st. He got her a beautiful bouquet of roses that she got to see for a day before they left yesterday. I'm getting to enjoy them way more than she is. Hahahaha  I think I need to water them.

January 1, 2019 - Tuesday - Not ringing in the New Year very well today. I have no idea what I did but my lower back is killing me. Thankfully not much else is bothering me so there's that. This is one of the pups I'm sitting, Pancho. Poor old man is blind and deaf, but he still does a pretty good job finding his way out to do his business.
