June 29, 2019 - Saturday - I have a bunch of tomatoes that I need to eat. I also had plans today but honestly when it came time to doing them I went with an old quote from one of my uncles, "I ain't got it in me." I stayed home and did some stuff around the apartment, one of them being this. I need to go grocery shopping.

June 28, 2019 - Friday - I went to downtown Ft. Worth with a friend and her daughter.  We had dinner and then stopped by the chocolate shop. I'm not going to go that far and not get chocolates. The main purpose of trip to downtown was to see Toy Story 4. It was good but not my favorite of the four.

June 27, 2019 - Thursday - This would be even funnier if it were not so itchy. They shaved a decent portion of my forearm so they could tape down the IV. I guess I should be thankful, but it's really itchy and a little prickly.

June 26, 2019 - Wednesday - This is one of my birthday presents, a travel cigar humidor. There were even a few cigars included with it. My friend knows me so well. I can see this thing going to my friend's patio where we I make guacamole and we share a cigar or two every so often.

June 25, 2019 - Tuesday - I got my walking papers early this morning. I came home and took a much needed nap. I didn't sleep very well last night and really needed some more sleep. I haven't made much of anything in a long time, but I love breakfast for dinner and we had everything I needed to make this.

June 24, 2019 - Monday - I was supposed to come in for a quick out patient procedure, but things didn't go as well as I had hoped. It's nothing horrible but I ended up having to stay the night so they could keep an eye on me. I'm not a fan of needles so IVs are really not my favorite. Fortunately, there was a Jurassic Park marathon on this evening.

June 23, 2019 - Sunday - I saw a preview for the upcoming season of Stranger Things. It starts in early July so I decided to rewatch the first two seasons. I remember season one but almost nothing about season two. I got through a few episodes of season 1. It's still a really cool show.

June 22, 2019 - Saturday - Today we had a big birthday party for my two cousins and I. We all turn 50 around the same time. There's an old photo of the three of us as babies and they had that printed on the cake. We took photos with our baby selves. I could not be more grateful for all my aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sisters for making this really great day happen for us.

June 21, 2019 - Friday - Happy Friday! One of the guys here at the office picked up some cookies for all of us. I had a chocolate chip and he sent me home with an M&M for Riley. I think he just didn't want to take them all home to his kids.

June 20, 2019 - Thursday - Went to lunch with my good friend from work. We sat out on this patio solving all of life's problems over some pretty decent mint lemonade. And we still got back to the office at a decent time. Turns out it's not as hard as you'd initially think. It's a nice day to be outside.

June 19, 2019 - Wednesday - I stopped by the grocery store on the way home today. I picked up stuff to make a Caprese Salad and the Greek Chicken Pasta Salad. When I got home I ended up just making myself a sandwich and having some grapes Riley got the other day. These are huge but they have seeds in them. Eeew.

June 18, 2019 - Tuesday - Went to go visit a friend after work. She took me out for a belated birthday dinner. While we were sitting there I noticed the bright light shining down on the table and the darkening sky in the background looked kinda cool so I took a photo. Dinner was good by not as photogenic.

June 17, 2019 - Monday - We see hawks around the roof of the building across the way quite often. This morning I noticed one of them had caught something and landed on the corner. I got my camera, changed the lens and was able to catch this one prepping his midmorning meal. Those spots are feathers it pulled off his victim.

June 16, 2019 - Sunday - For Father's Day I went out to have lunch with dad. One of my brother's cows had babies a couple of weeks ago. The first time mother had two but wasn't caring for this little one. Being separate from the rest, this guy was attacked by wild dogs. My brother has been nursing him back to health. Had a great dinner with Riley later. Not a bad day.

June 15, 2019 - Saturday - This morning I made a late breakfast with a bunch of the tomatoes I had left over from yesterday's dinner. I didn't think far enough ahead while I was at the grocery store yesterday so this was just eggs, tomatoes, parmesan cheese and seasoning. It was still very good though.

June 14, 2019 - Friday - I spent some time today looking online for some easy Greek recipes. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work and picked up stuff for this old standby. I found lots of good ideas online but I went with this just because it only takes a little while to make.

June 13, 2019 - Thursday - I met a friend and her little girl for dinner. She treated me to dessert too. These were good but the bowl of warm, melted chocolate was the best. Actually the best was getting to spend time with my dear friend and her daughter. Wish I got to see them more often.

June 12, 2019 - Wednesday - We were talking favorite movies a while back at work and one of the girls brought up a movie called The Fall. Aside from a good story with a cute kid it's one of the more visually beautiful movies I've seen in a long while. It has gorgeous colors and so many scenes that are beautiful moments.

June 11, 2019 - Tuesday - Today I turned 50! I got cookies delivered at the office and after work I had dinner on a rooftop patio with one of my dearest friends. I've been craving Italian food for weeks now. My friend opted to celebrate with a glass of prosecco. Here's to another 50. Hahahahahaha

June 10, 2019 - Monday - I stopped at the grocery store on the way home today and picked up stuff for this. Fortunately the tomatoes were really good. One thing I've learned today is that lots of people are either very dumb and/or very selfish. There are lots of traffic lights out on the streets and you can see how people have no idea how to take turns.

June 9, 2019 - Sunday - Today I had a little get together with some friends for an early 50th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, Mother Nature tried to cancel it for me. Some of my friends couldn't get out of their neighborhoods because of downed trees and power lines. Thank you to all who made it out to celebrate with me. Good friends and good cake.

June 8, 2019 - Saturday - Today I spent the day at my friend's for her daughter's graduation party. Like I mentioned in my post a few days ago, I've known her daughter since she was 4. It was so fun to spend time with her, her friends and her family. She has some friends from England that shared a bunch of their British adult beverages with the grown ups there.

June 7, 2019 - Friday - This is the way to start the day! We have a client who came into the office this morning and made crepes for all of us, sweet crepes and savory crepes. I started with my favorite, chocolate and banana. Unfortunately I started eating this before I took a photo, but here it is in most of it's glory.

June 6, 2019 - Thursday - I'm at the doctor's office again getting another test done. This is a photo of what my heart sounds like. kinda squishy, underwatery, sloshy, whoopie cushion-y sounding. Any way "I'm down a size and a half. And this time I'll keep it off!"

June 5, 2019 - Wednesday - I got to see my friend's daughter walk for her graduation. I've know this girl since she was 4 years old. It's been a joy to see her grow to be the beautiful young lady she is today. Even though she's an "adult" now, she'll always be that little girl that used to come into the office and keep us company in Studio.

June 4, 2019 - Tuesday - Today I met my friend with the cute puppy for dinner. She's getting so big and for still being so young she's been so well behaved for the most part. She's so fun to be around. I miss having a larger dog. A few minutes later I leaned over to pet her and she jumped up. I got a wet nose right in the eye!

June 3, 2019 - Monday - My good friend and coworker is out of the office so I've not had pho as often as we usually do. One of my other coworkers was kind enough to join me today so I was able to get my fix. I've not been feeling so great so I added a little extra Sriracha 'cause it's medicinal. I felt a lot better after.

June 2, 2019 - Sunday - Woke up pretty early today for no reason other than Pancho sounded like he wanted to go out. Looking out the window I saw this in the morning light and got my photo for the day out of the way early. It's a bit soft through the glass and the screen.

June 1, 2019 - Saturday - Spent the day relaxing at my friend's house keeping an eye on Pancho. It was a beautiful day for most of the day, but then some heavy rain blew in. This was out the back window and it was coming down in sheets.
