November 29, 2019 - Friday - I went to a friend's to meet a bunch of friends for an after Thanksgiving Cuban Sandwich/Painting Contest extravaganza. It was a great time and my Rudolph turned out pretty decent considering I've not painted in forever. One of my friends brought their new little Corgi with them. I think this guy runs on a couple of C size batteries.

November 28, 2019 - Thursday - Happy Thanksgiving! Our family usually has everyone make a dish or bring something for the meal. One of my sisters has traditionally made deviled eggs and she got Riley to help finish them. This the first time Riley has helped with the food. Now that she has cooking experience she needs to contribute more!

November 27, 2019 - Wednesday - I didn't know we had to day off until this past Monday. I got up to go do my workout then went to go see some old coworkers that didn't have the day off. I did a little bit of shopping and then a late lunch with a friend. Then I finally got to spend some quality time with the dog I'm thinking of adopting. This was on when I got home.

November 26, 2019 - Tuesday - I guess these birds are actually making it a bit farther south than Lovers and Greenville. This is the roof of our parking garage when I was leaving today. They didn't seem to mind me coming over to take their photo.

November 25, 2019 - Monday - This is the guy I met briefly yesterday. Poor guy's been in the shelter since 7/30. I was told he's kinda anxious and most people don't consider him after that. There's no way he'd be worse than Pancake. He calmed down with me pretty quick and look at that face. It's a big decision, but at the same time it's a very easy decision, but I'm still thinking.

November 24, 2019 - Sunday - Today my friend and I finished all the painting by mid-afternoon. We got out just in time to get to Plano Animal Services before they closed. I've been looking at this one particular dog online since the last time we were here at the first of the month. Something to think about while we took her dog on another walk in the park.

November 23, 2019 - Saturday - Today I met some old coworker friends for lunch. It was so good to see faces I hadn't seen in a really long time. After lunch I had plans to go to another friend's house to help her paint her living room. We spent about 7 hours painting but with the right company it goes pretty fast. We got a lot done in one day.

November 22, 2019 - Friday - I signed up for Disney + late last night. I spent just a little time scrolling through all they have available to watch before going to bed. Late tonight I came across this movie I've not seen since I was about 10 or so. I started to watch it but I'm much older now and couldn't stay awake for the whole thing.

November 21, 2019 - Thursday - I don't know why the corner of Lovers and Greenville is such a draw for millions of these birds but they seem to flock to something at this intersection only. There are almost none of them north or south of this small area. I'm just glad my car didn't get pooped on while driving through.

November 20, 2019 - Wednesday - Riley says Pancake's ears look like little chicharrones, but they're so soft and velvety. She's being so affectionate tonight. Even more than usual. She even stayed by my side when Riley got home and wouldn't go to Riley. She likes me best.

November 19, 2019 - Tuesday - When I left work I took the stairs down 12 flights, got out the door and realized I left my dinner in the fridge. Went back, took the elevator this time, and took the stairs up to the top of the parking garage. Had I come straight here the first time I image I would have a similar photo, but not this one. Love the fiery colors.

November 18, 2019 - Monday - I made the mistake of letting my sister schedule our morning. She has missed countless flights over the years. So while we did stroll through the park this morning, we ended up power walking across midtown with my backpack and carry-on to get to the subway, to get to the train, to get to Newark just in time to walk onto the plane.

November 17, 2019 - Sunday - Coming here I'm reminded of how proud I felt after 9/11, seeing the people of our country come together and not be black or white, Republican or Democrat, or Christian or not. We were all only Americans for a while, wanting to heal, rebuild and support each other. We were all the same for a little while.

November 16, 2019 - Saturday - I've been to NYC quite a few times, but not since my sister got this guy, Maury. This is the first time I've met him and it seems only fitting that he be at least one of my photos of the day while I'm here. He's such a laid back cool guy. I definitely made a friend. I've been giving him snacks since I got here.

November 15, 2019 - Friday - I'm visiting my baby sister for the weekend here in NYC. I flew in to La Guardia. That place is a big mess with construction everywhere. It took forever just to get away from the airport. It didn't help getting out of the airport just in time for rush hour. I didn't get any good shots coming into the city but this is somewhere near my sister's place.

November 14, 2019 - Thursday - I didn't think I'd see Riley tonight after she got off work so I stopped by to have dinner at her place. I got a table with nice overhead lighting. We got to visit for a while before I went to run a couple of errands and then get home to pack for my weekend trip.

November 13, 2019 - Wednesday - It's been too cold for too long. I got out for lunch today and got some of my favorite Indian food with a friend. It was nice out but it's cold in the office.  I still don't drink coffee and I got this hot chocolate as much to drink as to keep my hands warm.

November 12, 2019 - Tuesday - I almost didn't take this photo today because it was really cold outside when I left work and I had to walk over to the railing past my car. I'm glad I did, otherwise you'd probably be looking at another photo of Biscuit or Pancake on the couch.

November 11, 2019 - Monday - Our trio of friends is down to two again tonight. I have been craving Italian food for a long time and it was worth getting out in the cold for this. So thankful my other friend still agreed to get out too. Good food, great conversation, the prefect start to this really cold week.

November 10, 2019 - Sunday - Today I did a little bit of a road trip. I took a quick trip down to Houston to spend some time with a couple of old friends and a cousin. I had some good snacks and a copilot that was a little gift for one my friend's sorta new baby. It was good to see friends and family that I hadn't seen in many, many years.

November 9, 2019 - Saturday - Today started off really slow. I had bigger plans than to spend laid up on the couch. Fortunately it didn't last all day. By the end of the evening I was able to get a bike ride in and then do some grocery shopping. I took the puppies with me for a ride. They were pretty excited to get out for a little while.

November 8, 2019 - Friday - We have a neighbor who puts out their pet birds when the weather's nice. It's nice to walk out and hear them singing and chirping. Biscuit and Pancake were not the least bit interested in these two.

November 7, 2019 - Thursday - Today we had a big presentation at the office. The culmination of a couple of weeks of planning and lots and lots of work by our entire team. Regardless of the outcome it was great to see the group pull together and make lots of work happen in such a short time. Very optimistic for our agency.

November 6, 2019 - Wednesday - Our office has recently been renovated inside and out. They put this arch out front as some form of art. A friend and I joked that it's like the Chicago bean that shriveled up  and melted in the Texas heat. It is kinda cool that it lights up the front of the building too.

November 5, 2019 - Tuesday - Worked pretty late tonight getting ready for a big presentation on Thursday. My friend is also working late. We're the only two left on the roof. One more day of this and then it will all be behind us. Feeling very optimistic and hopeful for our little agency. It may not be so little for much longer.

November 4, 2019 - Monday - She left us a goodbye note. It was really quiet in the office in spite of being really busy.

November 3, 2019 - Sunday - I spent most of the day with a friend and her puppy. We went to a late lunch, ran a couple of errands and then went for a walk again at the park we were at last weekend. Riley's been talking about moving next year. That means I'll be getting a new dog of my own soon. We went to the Plano animal services for a bit. Wish I could get one now!

November 2, 2019 - Saturday - I spent almost all day with a friend. We went to see Joker. The theater had a 10 minute program that went over the history of actors that have played the Joker and how he's been portrayed over the years. It made the movie a little more enjoyable, good story, even better acting.

November 1, 2019 - Friday - Today was kinda busy but mostly depressing. It was one of my coworker's last day. She brought so much silliness and laughter to our office. She's going to be missed terribly by all of us. I gave her a good, long hug before I left. Coming home I just felt sad. Working with her and my other coworker was like working with Riley and Rane.
