September 29, 2019 - Sunday - Today was unplanned and such a full, great day! I went out to my dad's to visit for a while. We ended up going out to see some family I hadn't seen in a long time. After taking dad back home I went to meet Riley, Rane and her family for a going away dinner for Rane. She's going away for a while. (Not jail) Riley and I ended the evening with a drink.

September 28, 2019 - Saturday - I feel like I haven't been home on a weekend in over a month. That didn't happen this weekend either, but I did spend all day today at home. I cleaned, read and spent some quality time with my couch. I the middle of it all I made this. My favorite breakfast for dinner. I have breakfast for the week now.

September 27, 2019 - Friday - Now that I drink so infrequently, I usually only have something I know I'm gonna really appreciate. I don't drink at home anymore at all so I have this bottle at work now. On occasion some of my coworkers and I will have a drink at the end of the day. I need to get us some proper glassware.

September 26, 2019 - Thursday - I stopped by the grocery store on the way home and bought stuff for several meals. I usually don't do that. I don't plan ahead very well, and therefore don't plan ahead very often. By the time I got home I decide to make something quick and easy. I didn't even make an egg to top it off. The avocados were the perfect color this time.

September 25, 2019 - Wednesday - I met a couple and their little girl for dinner tonight. They're both previous coworkers of mine and I don't get to see them as much as I'd like. It was good to get caught up and do a little reminiscing about the fun times we had working together. We need to have a happy hour to get the old Studio and Print Production group together.

September 24, 2019 - Tuesday - I went to visit a friend. She has two new friends. No names yet. They're very friendly and almost like dogs. They're both boys and we spent a lot of the evening trying to come up with great duo names that were also not names of her exes. That last part was really restrictive.

September 23, 2019 - Monday - I'm going to therapy every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I've been staying at work a little late to help make up for some of the work I've been missing. Well I wouldn't say I was "missing" work so much as just getting there a little late. Today the sky was full of clouds and it was actually kinda cool when I left.

September 22, 2019 - Sunday - I drove out last night to spend the rest of the weekend at dad's. I brought him his watch and we hung out at my brother's for lunch and to watch the Cowboy game. We went out back this morning to let out the chickens. My brother's turkeys came over thinking I was going to feed them.

September 21, 2019 - Saturday - I haven't worn a watch since Riley was a baby. I got one for myself and one for dad. I'm hoping it will help remind both of us to be more active and I hope he doesn't ever need the fall detection. Reading an analog time face is going to take some getting used to. Can't remember the last time had to tell time on one.

September 20, 2019 - Friday - This mixture of unsalted nuts, dark chocolate covered almonds and raisins has become my go-to snack lately. I should probably mix in some more unsalted nuts.

September 19, 2019 - Thursday - These are probably my favorite cookies of all time. As such they have been my photo of the day every time my coworker has brought them to the office. She was even kind enough to alter her recipe to include a batch with dark chocolate chips just for me.

September 18, 2019 - Wednesday - It rained a little bit before I left the office this evening. It's cold in the office, hot and steamy outside. The lens began to fog as I started taking photos. I cleaned it and took a few more but I thought this one was a little more interesting.

September 17, 2019 - Tuesday - Pancake has reminded me of Vegas from the first time I saw her. I remember there was always something in her eyes that I see in Pancake. She's been my favorite since I brought them back from the Grand Canyon. She's a little neurotic but sweet and lovable. Plus Biscuit is a pushy butt head.

September 15, 2019 - Sunday - Today was another great day. I had to get up early for breakfast with a friend from out of town. I met another friend from high school and her daughter after that. Finally, I got out to see the last day of the Monet exhibit at the Kimball. It was crazy crowded but so worth making the drive. I recorded the Cowboy game for later.

September 14, 2019 - Saturday - When I stop and think about it I've had some pretty great days this year. Today was one of them. I spent a couple hours at lunch with a good friend from high school. Met a couple of cousins later getting caught up on after several years. Then spent the evening with a great friend and his family singing karaoke.

September 13, 2019 - Friday - I started my cardiac rehab this week. When I got out this morning I thought I'd bring breakfast for the office to help make up for being gone so much. Chicken Minis for the everyone! Happy Friday everyone.

September 12, 2019 - Thursday - I had a doctor's appointment today after lunch. I'm glad I've met my deductible because she basically just told me I'm doing fine. I was parked next to this bush and when I was getting in my car this little guy flew by. I got out of my car and got him to sit still for a bit.

September 11, 2019 - Wednesday - I went to see my friend and her fur baby for dinner tonight. This one is still a puppy but I can't believe how calm she's become and just how sweet she is. We went for a walk and she's so well behaved on a leash. After dinner she came and sat in my lap on the couch just like Oliver used to do. I miss having a larger dog.

September 10, 2019 - Tuesday - I had a trimmer incident little while back and ended up without a beard. I started shaving with a razor instead of just the trimmer about a month ago. That means I've used this about three times now. I've done really well and haven't cut myself hardly at all.

September 9, 2019 - Monday - I ran some errands after work today. On the way home I stopped at Jimmy's and picked up dinner. I've not had a Muffuletta in a really long time. This was so good and really big. I shared it with Riley.

September 8, 2019 - Sunday - I went to my dad's last night after my friend's house. We had breakfast and then went to visit some of my Aunts, his sisters for a while. We got back in time to watch the Cowboys beat the Giants. After the game we picked up my sister and went out to dinner. This little one was being shy today.

September 7, 2019 - Saturday - I went over to one of my old high school friend's house. He was smoking a brisket and watching some college ball all day. I notice these in the corner of his yard. I think this might be the only thing he can keep alive. Hahaha But he cooks a really good brisket and makes some great guacamole. Really good day today!

September 6, 2019 - Friday - One of my coworkers went on a trip and brought us back some treats. These are little whiskey-ish 3 Musketeers-like bites are really good and came in some cool packaging.

September 5, 2019 - Thursday - I was flipping through the channels and came across Justice League. First off, not a good movie in my opinion. The saving grace, Wonder Woman, well specifically Gal Gadot. She's incredibly distracting from the story, the plot, the fact that I'm up at 10:30 at night watching a bad movie just waiting for the bad ending.

September 4, 2019 - Wednesday - I had my follow up cardiograph today. My doctor gave me the good news that my heart function is back to normal. Even better I don't have to wear the defibrillator vest anymore. I think that might be the best news. Wearing that thing sucked!

September 3, 2019 - Tuesday - This evening after work I made another Caprese Salad for dinner. Riley picked up some mozzarella a while back for me, but it wasn't very good. So while this tasted good the texture of the cheese was really off. It still looks good in the evening light.

September 2, 2019 - Monday - I wake up most mornings with a bit of a mohawk. Some days more so than others. Today it was especially straight and symmetrical. I must have slept an equal amount of time on both my left and right side last night.

September 1, 2019 - Sunday - Woke up aching in several places today. I canceled my plans and spent the day on the couch with Biscuit and Pancake for company. We finally watched Marvel's Captain Marvel and Endgame.
