March 31, 2020 - Tuesday - Zak is definitely not cool with me being home and not paying attention to him. He doesn't get this work from home thing at all. He was playing with one of his toys and decided he would take it to the couch and lay down and play by himself. I think he was aggravated that I wouldn't play with him.
March 30, 2020 - Monday - I was out talking Zak to poop tonight and looked over at the one big rose I have on this over grown bush. It looked so pretty with the rain droplets all over.
March 29, 2020 - Sunday - Found this on the porch today. I had no idea they still printed these. It's so thin too. I asked Riley if she even knew what this was and apparently her and her cousins used to use these to randomly prank call businesses when they were little. What a dork.
March 28, 2020 - Saturday - I'm still unpacking some boxes and came across this. When Riley was 9 I made a DVD for her with some videos I made of her growing up. I made this leather bound book to hold the DVD. She loved it, but so did Shadow. That dog ate so much that he wasn't supposed to.
March 27, 2020 - Friday - When I walked out this morning I decided to keep this series going one more day. It was overcast this morning when I took Zak out but I thought this was still beautiful all opened. There are a bunch of little buds on this plant that will be blooming in the coming days.
March 26, 2020 - Thursday - I've never done a series of photos in this collection. This is the same flower as yesterday around the same time as yesterday too. I took Zak out again and love the little bit of a glow this has in the morning light.
March 25, 2020 - Wednesday - Today is my first day under the new "work from home restrictions". It's kinda a good thing. I forgot my bag in my car during this trip and I didn't have my real camera or my meds the whole time. I really started aching last night and was hurting pretty good this morning. I took this photo while outside with Zak this morning. I'm already doing a lot better.
March 24, 2020 - Tuesday - Sadly today is our last day. We woke up a little earlier today, made breakfast, got ready and packed. Once we were all ready we decided to go for one more long walk in the sun before driving back home. It turned out to be a beautiful day just before we left. Wish we could have planned to stay another day or two.
March 23, 2020 - Monday - It rained a lot today but we were able to get in a couple of walks. It's nice to get off the road and see what's behind some of the cabins. All the creeks are really full and noisy. I saw this from the street and loved all the green. I should have taken a video too. Love the sound of small streams.
March 22, 2020 - Sunday - It rained pretty hard during the night and it's supposed to rain all day. We managed to get in a good little walk around the neighborhood. We like to look at the other cabins and see what's around our area. We've seen lots of birds but no dear until around 6p when a bunch of them showed while we were grilling dinner.
March 21, 2020 - Saturday - I picked up some Pho from my favorite place before picking up my friend to head out to Broken Bow. It was a beautiful day to build a fire in the fire pit and make some s'mores. The little creek next to the cabin was pretty full and the firewood was pretty wet so our fire was a bit underwhelming. It's supposed to rain most of the time we're here.
March 20, 2020 - Friday - I brought home my iMac from work in case I have to work from home going forward. I had to start getting ready for my trip. A friend and I are going to Broken Bow for a few days. We booked this trip months ago and it seems like a good idea to socially distance ourselves in a cabin in the woods.
March 19, 2020 - Thursday - I was out with Zak this morning. I didn't even notice this other rose bush on the other side of the yard. Mom would like these too, though her favorite were red roses. Mom's been on my mind a lot lately. Wish I could talk to her for a little bit just to get caught up on stuff.
March 18, 2020 - Wednesday - The first thing Riley makes when we move into the new place isn't some delicious meal where she's applied some of what she's learned in the kitchen at work. Nope! It's Velvetta Shells and Cheese. To be fair the pickings at the grocery store are very slim. It's been a long while since I've tasted this.
March 17, 2020 - Tuesday - Was thinking of mom a lot yesterday after seeing the rose bush. Today while picking up a few of our remaining things from the apartment I came across two dimes. My family always shares photos of dimes we find. Mom collected them for some reason. I told them I found two because she wanted to remind me I'm her favorite.
March 16, 2020 - Monday - It's nice to have a bit of a yard now to take the dogs outdoors without being on a leash. This big rose bush is on the back corner of our place. Mom would have loved these and she would have known how to take care of this too. It's quite big and I think over grown. I'm pretty sure it needs to be cut back.
March 15, 2020 - Sunday - Today some family came out and helped Riley and I move virtually all the rest of our stuff. I love having a large family that are willing and able to help on short notice. It didn't take too long either. On one of our trips I saw this guy on a powered skateboard of some sort with these two trotting behind him. Don't think this would work with Zak.
March 14, 2020 - Saturday - I began moving today. A very dear friend made this shirt for me a million years ago. It read, FPO in an earlier life. She has since made me another that's only a couple of years old. Newer design too, but it still reads FPO, For Placement Only. I am only a low resolution image of what the real me is going to be one day.
March 13, 2020 - Friday - I took this when I walked out to my car this afternoon. In unrelated news, I picked up keys to our new place today. Riley and I decided we needed a place in a safer neighborhood after some recent ugliness. I had planned to go home and start taking some of my things over in my car but that didn't happen.
March 12, 2020 - Thursday - Today we had a going away lunch for one of the girls that works with us. It's become a tradition to have tacos when someone moves on. It's also become a tradition to go around the room sharing our favorite story or what we're going to miss most. She didn't want us to do that. I'm really going to miss her. She has such a great sense of humor.
March 11, 2020 - Wednesday - When I was driving down the parking garage I started thinking about what to have for dinner. I knew I didn't have much of anything to make at home and Tony's popped into my head. I took this photo to send to Riley to show her where I was. Much later she sent me a photo of the menu. I'm so influential.
March 10, 2020 - Tuesday - So I originally bought this Christmas ornament with a friend as a new holiday tradition. He ended up on my dash mostly on accident but it became his home for the holidays. Now I kinda think it's may be his permanent home. I've gotten so used to him being there. My friend named him Dominic.
March 9, 2020 - Monday - When I was in Zion I picked up a few rocks along some of my hikes. The flat one I got at the end of my second hike. It was some sand frozen on it. The little round one I picked up from the creek near the water on the first day. The big one I got along the trail at the end of the second day. I have a lot of rocks from the beaches from my California trip.
March 8, 2020 - Sunday - How I spent a bunch of my Sunday. Zak is an anxious knucklehead but he's a lovable goof. He loves to be on the couch with me and lays pretty still as long as you're petting him at least a little. The moment you stop he starts wiggling and pawing at you.
March 7, 2020 - Saturday - I wish I had given more thought to what I was going to eat this weekend and I had prepared better. I ended up baking this omelet with what I had at home, tomato, jalapeño, cheddar and seasonings. It was good but I wish I had a potato, some bell pepper and green onion. Oh and a mimosa.
March 6, 2020 - Friday - I don't remember much from today. I'm getting caught up on this almost a week later. I know with the time change there's more light after work. So I've gotten better photos of the pups in the window.
March 5, 2020 - Thursday - I had an avocado left over from yesterday and I made avocado toast again for dinner. No eggs this time. I was being lazy.
March 4, 2020 - Wednesday - The two friends that I have dinner with from time to time met last night. One of them has been doing some work with Avocados from Mexico and had a box of avocados to share with us. I stopped by the grocery store this morning for the remaining ingredients for guacamole. It made the cold, rainy day a little better.
March 3, 2020 - Tuesday - We needed individual photos of the awards we won last week for something. And since I didn't take a photo of anything else today one of the shots is my photo of the day.
March 2, 2020 - Monday - I stopped at the grocery store on the way home today after work. I picked up stuff to make avocado toast. I've come to the conclusion poaching eggs is too messy so I fried these in olive oil. The second egg gave me a bit of trouble flipping but it was still as good as the prettier one.
March 1, 2020 - Sunday - This morning I had to give Zak a bit of a bath at dad's and then found the closest Petsmart to give him a real bath. We got home and relaxed on the couch for a while. Pancake was sleeping nearby. Riley and I have been talking about get her some eyelash extensions.
