October 30, 2020 - Friday - Since the weather has gotten colder the two girls have taken to laying in my lap much more often and much to Zak's dismay. He'll walk over and just give me a sad look and go lay elsewhere on the couch. The moment they move he runs over and lays either right in front of me across my lap. He's kind of needy.

October 29, 2020 - Thursday - I have a new celebrity crush. A friend recommended the new show Ted Lasso on Apple+. It's really a good show. Very funny. Who knew the lady escorting Cersei Lannister through King's Landing, ringing the bell, repeating "Shame" is so attractive. Sadly there are only 10 episodes and they're only 30 minutes each. Looking forward to more of this one.

October 28, 2020 - Wednesday - My third miss of the year. I was crazy busy all day Tuesday and then made the mistake of eating some chocolate around 11p. I ended up staying awake until around 5:30a. I was a little busy and then took a nap later in the afternoon. Somehow I ended up forgetting to take a photo today.

October 27, 2020 - Tuesday - I saw this little guy sitting in sitting in the blinds of my bedroom window. I don't know how something this big got in the house but I guess he's just trying to stay warm. He was about 5" long and was sitting on the sill when I got back with my camera. Looks like I need to clean my windows and sills.

October 26, 2020 - Monday - I went out with a friend to celebrate her birthday. She picked my favorite Cuban place, Latin Pig. I've been thinking of this place for a while and I always have a hard time deciding what to get, except the arroz con gandules. I will always get a serving of that. I could order just the rice and be happy.

October 25, 2020 - Sunday - So when I take a shower Zak almost always goes and lays on my bed and then gives me this kind of sad face while I'm getting dressed because he thinks I'm leaving. This was before I went grocery shopping. At least he gets really excited about getting treats when he goes in his kennel.

October 24, 2020 - Saturday - When I wanted a break from Hill House I switched to the second season of The Boys. I go back and forth between being creeped out by spooky stuff and being creeped out by watching all these characters do ridiculously crazy stuff. Both of these shows are really good.

October 23, 2020 - Friday - I'm not a big fan of horror, scary or slasher movies, but I let Riley talk me into watching The Haunting of Hill House. I watched the first episode and to be honest I didn't want to keep watching it but I really wanted to know how it ended.

October 22, 2020 - Thursday - Quite a while back Riley bought a bunch of little plants for the house. This little cactus is one of them. It's in our kitchen window and today at the end of the day the sun was shining in on it and it became the photo of today.

October 21, 2020 - Wednesday - Last night I was finally feeling better and I made spicy chicken biscuits for dinner. Tonight I had some leftovers.

October 20, 2020 - Tuesday - I got my real arthritis meds from FedEx this afternoon. Today was better than the last week but it'll be much better once all this goes away. Pancake came to keep me company for a while at the end of the day. Now we wait.

October 19, 2020 - Monday - I finally got in to see my rheumatologist today. I've been having a bad flare like from a few years ago for about the last week. The day got better once I was able to get my prescriptions opened. Childproof bottles are arthritis patient proof bottles too. Kroger needs pill bottles like the ones they have at Walgreens!!!

October 18, 2020 - Sunday - I had Chinese for dinner last night. This was in my fortune cookie. I don't know who's involved with this or what you have planned, but you have a week to prepare. All I know is I'm looking forward to it!

October 17, 2020 - Saturday - I don't know what it's like to have son and I've never been one to think of my pets as my children, regardless of how much I love them. Zak had me thinking though. If he were a boy lots of girls would like to date him because he's handsome, but I think I call him dufus and shithead as much as I call him Zak. He's a lovable dufus.

October 16, 2020 - Friday - This bush is growing out front and I can see it from my living room window. I happened to be up when I noticed the sun shining on it making it look like it was glowing. I hope my neighbor didn't notice. I imagine it looked like I was trying to take a photo through her front window.

October 15, 2020 - Thursday - I was letting the dogs out this morning and realized I have a handful of new tomatoes growing on another one of my tomato plants. I have a bunch of the tiny cherry tomatoes ripening every so often but these are already twice the size of those. I hope they ripen soon.

October 14, 2020 - Wednesday - I started watching The Big Bang Theory a few years back when a friend introduced me to it. I really only caught an occasional episode here and there but over the last month or so I've started watching it from the beginning. I'm getting close to the end now and I have to admit this is one of my favorites.

October 13, 2020 - Tuesday - Biscuit was asleep in the corner of the couch and when she popped up she looked like this! Hahahaha. Her top lip is stuck on her teeth. Between this and her googley eye's she's so ugly she's cute.

October 12, 2020 - Monday - I did some grocery shopping today and texted Riley to see if she wanted any snacks. She said ice cream so I picked up these. Note to self she doesn't like these two flavors. I was on the other side of the store when she texted back "eww". I went back and picked her up some Cookies and Cream and kept the Cherry Garcia for myself.

October 11, 2020 - Sunday - Today I made brunch. I'm doing a bit better than yesterday so it's a reason to celebrate. I bought oj and champaign the other day. My hands are still bothering me and getting the cork out of the bottle was a lot more difficult than usual, but I'm no quitter. You just got to want it!

October 10, 2020 - Saturday - I'm having a bit of a rough day today so I spent most of it on the couch. It's been a while since I've felt like this. It's pretty cool that I don't remember when. All the pups kept me company at some point today. Pancake is laying on the pillow behind me. She likes to nap there.

October 9, 2020 - Friday - I made some roasted potatoes the other night and decided to have them with some eggs this afternoon. They got a little too roasted so they are as much in the background as possible. They tasted fine but these eggs were even better. I watched a video the other day and my scrambled eggs are better than ever.

October 8, 2020 - Thursday - I met a friend for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants for the first time in a really long time. The weather was perfect and the food was delicious. I just wish it weren't so far away from me now. Fortunately traffic wasn't too bad today  and to top off the night we walked down to get ice cream after.

October 7, 2020 - Wednesday - I went out back this evening and saw my neighbor got a new puppy! I had to go get my camera and meet her. Say hello to Nellie, a Bernese Mountain Dog. She's super soft and playful with puppy breath and sharp pointy teeth. Of course I offered to dog sit anytime they needed. Look at that face!

October 6, 2020 - Tuesday - I met a couple of friends today and then went to the office for a little bit. I did some grocery shopping on my way home and got home a bit late. When I went out with the dogs Zak caught sight of this little guy on my neighbor's porch. He barked quite a bit but I was able to get him quiet and go inside to get my camera.

October 5, 2020 - Monday - It's nice to have enough of these growing out back to be able to cut some and bring them inside again.

October 4, 2020 - Sunday - I wasn't doing so well yesterday and spent most of the day on the couch. This morning I was doing better and did a little work before going out to visit dad to watch the Cowboy game. It was good to see dad. I haven't been out to see him in a long time.

October 3, 2020 - Saturday - My place has a detached garage that I walk past every time I take out the trash. Walking back in this morning after throwing out the poop I looked over and noticed my shadow. Looks like I slept about equally on both sides last night and I'm pretty close to needing a haircut.

October 2, 2020 - Friday - The red rose bush in the back is full of roses again. It's nice having this reminder of mom every time I walk out back or look out my bedroom window.

October 1, 2020 - Thursday - I make pancakes from scratch and since I have some milk that's not going to last much longer I decided to make them for dinner. I put a little honey in the batter instead of using sugar that made them brown a lot faster. The first few were quite dark. The last one turned out just right.
