April 29, 2021 - Thursday - I watched Turner and Hooch tonight. I only have about a dozen 80s movies left on my list. I'll be starting a list of 90's movies soon. I'll be needing y'all's help again with recommendations. My all time favorite movie is coming up. Can't wait to watch Life is Beautiful again.

April 28, 2021 - Wednesday - Tonight I watched one of my favorite movies. I remember seeing it and wondering how they did a lot of the scenes. I've heard it's the most complicated movie ever filmed. I saw a "making of" video for this movie a while back and it was pretty amazing. The car for Benny the Cab was really cool.

April 27, 2021 - Tuesday - Yesterday evening I did a grocery pickup. This morning one of my avocados was ready to eat. I ordered eggs too but I was being lazy and I was trying to get back to my desk. I had a lot to do today.

April 26, 2021 - Monday - Today I was able to wrap up my work a little early. After being on the go since last Friday I was pretty tired and I've been having really long, weird dreams. Zak seems to be resting just fine in the corner of the couch.

April 25, 2021 - Sunday - I was back at my friend's house today getting ready for another cookie shoot. His wife was getting these ready for the grill when I got there. Their Cuban heritage was on full display today! It's a shame we ended the day with Nicaraguan cigars instead of Cubans. His secret ingredient makes all the difference.

April 24, 2021 - Saturday - Today I met another old friend. It was good to see him and get caught up over lunch. After a really long lunch I went to see another friend for dinner. Grace remembers me but Willie barked at me for a few minutes before he remembered he knew me. Grace is so sweet and fluffy but boy is she shedding right now.

April 23, 2021 - Friday - After work I went out to my friend's house. I've know this guy for about 11 years and I know his family and parents, but have never met his only sibling. Tonight his brother was in town and we got together for dinner. It was great to meet him and spend time with his family.

April 22, 2021 - Thursday - Tonight I didn't want to watch a movie or anything that I had to pay attention to. I wanted something mindless. I got on HBOMax and came across The Nanny. It's a silly sitcom. Just what I was looking for. Yeah her voice is really out there, but I forgot how pretty she was even with the big hair.

April 21, 2021 - Wednesday - After having a few photos of Pancake and Zak I thought I should get a photo of Biscuit too. She came and laid in my lap for a while today. She's actually pretty sweet when she's not being a butthead.

April 20, 2021 - Tuesday - Tonight we watched Die Hard. I'm nearing the end of my list of 80s movies.

April 19, 2021 - Monday - This time I bought the mini croissants. Like I need to be eating these at all so at least I got smaller ones, right? Even the smaller ones taste just as good as the bigger ones and they make a perfect dessert.

April 18, 2021 - Sunday - Today I went out to visit dad and took Zak with me. He broke his collar and wandered around for a while. I finally caught up to him at the creek because he's afraid of water. He relaxed the rest of the day in the sun. I got to spend time with Dad and a couple of his sisters, my bother and sister-in-law and one of my sisters. Today was a good day.

April 17, 2021 - Saturday - I spent a little time on the couch this morning. Pancake kept me warm for a little while. She likes 80s movies too. I think we watched Stripes this morning.

April 16, 2021 - Friday - When I ordered cookies I ordered The 50/50, it's a dozen cookies and you get to pick any 2 flavors. This is the Stuffed Carrot Cake and it makes the perfect after dinner treat, mid afternoon snack, or even breakfast, I don't judge. The lady who makes these cookies has some very magical talent.

April 15, 2021 - Thursday - I've been out of cookies for a bit. I finally couldn't wait any longer. Today they were delivered! This is the Cinnamon Roll Cookie and it makes the perfect afternoon snack. Especially after I put it in the microwave for 9 seconds. Just like a real cinnamon roll the middle bite is the best bite.

April 14, 2021 - Wednesday - The list of 80s movies I'm watching is really long. Tonight I watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles. In my head I had this confused with Throw Mama from the Train. I haven't seen either of them since the 80s. Steve Martin and John Candy were a great team.

April 13, 2021 - Tuesday - Met a friend for dinner tonight. We tried a new place in a new part of town. The food was good they had a drink like the big margarita that's been my photo of the day before but smaller. There's even an ice cream place right next door and this cool little patio in the middle of it all. It's very well lit.

April 12, 2021 - Monday - I bought a basil plant a while back. It had five small plants in the pot. Last year I had two and had more basil than I needed. If these grow nearly as much as mine did last year I'll have way too much. Unless I get more tomatoes than I did last year. Here's to hoping.

April 11, 2021 - Sunday - Went to shoot some more cookies today. When we were done we went back to my friend's house. I got to spend some time with his parents and hear some more family stories. We had dinner and a few drinks and ended the day with a good cigar. Good end to a good weekend.

April 10, 2021 - Saturday - Zak was sitting by the front door watching what I was doing for a while. I think he was acting a bit aloof because I was gone for a little while.

April 9, 2021 - Friday - I don't remember seeing this movie before. I think I did see it when it came out back in the 80s but I didn't remember it at all. I saw Tropic Thunder not too long ago and this scene just reminded me of that so it was hard to not laugh at this. It's funny how so many movies from this time have been parodied since.

April 8, 2021 - Thursday - Went to see a friend for dinner. We were able to get out to the park and go for a bit of a walk before. I really can't get enough of this great weather. We had dinner on the patio and then some dessert on another patio. It won't be long before it's crazy hot again.

April 7, 2021 - Wednesday - I got together with a couple of my high school best friends. It was good to get out and spend some time with the both of them. I've not driven my car in a few days and it's that time of year again. It was around this time last year when my car was covered in all those green fuzzy things from the trees shading my driveway.

April 6, 2021 - Tuesday - I took this from my back door through the screen so it looks a little wonky. This guy was rooting through the gutters on the neighbors roof. The only other photo I took today was of Ferris Bueller. I watched that 80s classic tonight.

April 5, 2021 - Monday - I took out the trash this morning and found a robin flopping in the driveway. I got it in a box and was about to take it to a sanctuary when it passed away. It was whistling the whole time and it sounded so pretty. I was hoping it was just disoriented.  I watched Amadeus today. Coincidently he passed away on April 5th too.

April 4, 2021 - Sunday - In addition to getting to see my old friends yesterday one of them brought Easter treats for all of us, Oreo cake balls and Dipped Oreos! I got out and got some goodies for Riley for Easter but nothing this fancy or as tasty. Our Easter was very uneventful but it was nice having a day like yesterday this weekend.

April 3, 2021 - Saturday - I went to Klyde Warren Park for the first time today. We had a little bit of a Studio Reunion today. A few of us from our old Studio group got together for a little while today. They brought their families with them too. It was greet to spend time with all of them and their kids. It was a great day to be outside too.

April 2, 2021 - Friday - I didn't feel like cooking tonight and since Riley wasn't home I didn't have to worry about ordering something she likes. She's not a fan of Roti Grill and I must admit this was very disappointing tonight. Usually this is very flavorful and spicy. Tonight was just spicy. At least the naan was still really good.

April 1, 2021 - Thursday - Spent some time at the end of the work day on the couch watching another great 80s movie, Big. Pancake was not interested so she just curled up in my lap and took a long nap. She's such a sweetheart 95% of the time. Sometimes she acts a little spoiled. Kinda sounds like Riley. Hahahaha
