June 29, 2021 - Tuesday - I went out this afternoon to take out the trash and saw that almost all the leaves from the top of my tomato plant were gone. I found four of these jerks on my plant eating away. Three of them were really large and one little baby. The topmost bundle of tomatoes was completely gone and this bundle was about half gone.

June 28, 2021 - Monday - My work iMac is being replaced with a new MacBook Pro. Friday my iMac wouldn't start and this was delivered just in time. My iMac finally started and I was able to get a lot of work done but I spent a big part of the day loading all the software on this and getting it ready to be my primary machine.

June 27, 2021 - Sunday - I tweaked my knee yesterday when we landed. It's not too bad just a little swollen. I spent most of the day relaxing on the couch watching a movie from the 90s. Later in the day I found this series on HBOMax. My Saturday morning childhood is revived! I need to buy some Cookie Crisp or Fruity Pebbles to complete the experience.

June 26, 2021 - Saturday - I got up crazy early today. Our scheduled time was 7:30a and this place is about an hour north of my place. We got delayed a bit because of strong winds. Going through the clouds is against the rules but when we jumped we were pulled the cord and were able to find a whole through the clouds. It was quite an experience.

June 25, 2021 - Friday - My one tomato plant has grown way over my head and about as tall as I can let it. It's quite a bit taller that the stakes I have and this and one other bundle of tomatoes are leaning over quite a bit. I have quite a few bundle on this plant. I hope to get more of these next year.

June 24, 2021 - Thursday - So today at lunch a very dear friend made an announcement to our pho lunch group. She told me last week but I had to keep the secret until we could all meet. Today the new news to me was she now knows she's have a little girl. So excited for her. Can't wait to see her waddling around for pho.

June 23, 2021 - Wednesday - First let me say this was dead before I ran over it. Somewhere there's a family going nuts wondering where they lost some poor little kids favorite stuffed... elephant? dragon? I'm not 100% sure what this is. Well it's at the BMW dealership on Lemmon in front of the service department.

June 22, 2021 - Tuesday - I found this couple that has a cooking channel on YouTube. She's Italian and he's from Maine. She does all the cooking. This roasted tomato dish was delicious. Each bite tasted like a thick, hearty spaghetti sauce. It made me want some meatballs. Next time I make a red sauce I may roast my tomatoes first.

June 21, 2021 - Monday - Tonight Riley, her BF and I went out to dinner at my favorite Pho place. I took this walking out of the restaurant. Riley jumped into frame so I had to take a few of these before I could get one without her in it.

June 20, 2021 - Sunday - When we were little Dairy Queen was the closest ice cream place to our house. Dad would dip a napkin in his Coke to wipe the ice cream off our faces. I don't know where mom was when he did this. Today I took dad for an ice cream and told him if he made a mess I was going to wash his face with my Coke. Happy Father's Day!

June 19, 2021 - Saturday - I'm getting to the end of the movies from 1994. This was another good year for movies, Pulp Fiction, The Lion King, Forrest Gump, The Professional and this one, The Shawshank Redemption. Love this scene where they're all on the roof drinking a beer. Get busy living or get busy dying.

June 18, 2021 - Friday - I went out to transfer a couple of small tomato plants to the raised bed. While I was out there I decided to prune my basil plants to help them grow wide and not tall. It should help them produce more. Just pruning them I ended up with this pile of of leaves. I need some grape tomatoes, cantaloupe, champaign vinegar and burrata cheese.

June 17, 2021 - Thursday - Look at that face. I remember the first time I saw him. I was really wanting a dog and missed having a large dog. I remember knelling down to him, getting close to his face to talk and pet him. The lady walking him back to his kennel telling me to "be careful." I remember thinking, "Of what?" This guy is just a big sweetheart. I was right.

June 16, 2021 - Wednesday - Riley was gone to work this evening so I can order whatever I want on my pizza from whatever pizza place I want. For some strange reason she's not a fan of Piggie Pies. Some people have strong feelings about pineapple on pizzas. I don't understand those people or those feelings.

June 15, 2021 - Tuesday - Went out a little later in the day with Zak and the girls. I have a few more of these growing out back and quite a few more buds that look like they'll be blooming soon. You might see these again in the coming weeks.

June 14, 2021 - Monday - I cut my first little bundle of tomatoes from my plant today. There are several more bundles growing with even more tomatoes on each bundle. Hopefully I get a lot more before it gets too hot and they stop producing for the summer.

June 13, 2021 - Sunday - My friend had a birthday party for his little girl today. His wife did all the planning and made some really cool Corgi themed stuff. She made these little chocolate cupcakes to look like little poop emojis and they were delicious. So were the pink ones.

June 12, 2021 - Saturday - Woke up hurting a bit today so I spent the day at home. Relaxing and doing a little bit of work. I've still got a long list of 90s movie to watch and today we watched Legends of the Fall. Julia Ormond was so pretty in this movie and she did quite a number on that family.

June 11, 2021 - Friday - Riley took me out to dinner for my birthday. It's always a good time having dinner out with my baby girl. It's not too shabby either when she pays. She has pretty good taste in restaurants. Dinner was delicious and this little bit of bread pudding and whatever kind of sauce this is was just the way to end the meal.

June 10, 2021 - Thursday - I met a friend for an early birthday day dinner. We went to the same place we've gone to recently. It has great food and an ice cream place right next door. The ice cream place has a walk up window and when I turned around this little guy was in line behind me. He's only ten months old and super friendly.

June 9, 2021 - Wednesday - I've seen the buds of these orange lilies growing in the back for a while now. I didn't go outside at all yesterday but when I went out this afternoon this one was fully opened. I love the color of this as much as I did last year. I'm sure you'll see another photo or two of these before they disappear again.

June 8, 2021 - Tuesday - I pushed this mouse around so much today it couldn't take it any more. From morning until pretty late at night this thing couldn't go any farther and almost died. Thankfully this didn't take very long to get enough of a charge to get me through the rest of the night.

June 7, 2021 - Monday - Tonight I decided to make carne guisada for the second time. I guess the video I found online is a good one because this turned out really good again. Riley and her BF both had dinner with me. We made tacos with avocado crema, green salsa and fresh cilantro. I just wish I had some fresh homemade torillas.

June 6, 2021 - Sunday - I had to buy some new socks. I think the dryer is eating them. They're really dingy too because I habitually walk around in socks everywhere even outside. These however have the gray color over the entire bottom of the sock so maybe they'll "look" cleaner longer.

June 5, 2021 - Saturday - My basil is growing like crazy.

June 4, 2021 - Friday - It was a long work week for being a short week. I guess we just crammed it all into 4 days instead of 5. I didn't sleep well or enough last night so I was having a hard time getting through the day. When I was finally done I got on the couch and started my movie watching again. Biscuit and I watched Cool Runnings.

June 3, 2021 - Thursday - I'm in the 90s now and I started watching the movies from this decade by year and saving my favorites for last. The Last of the Mohicans is one of my favs from 92. It definitely has one of the best soundtracks from the whole decade. Speaking of soundtracks I've considered making a list of John William's movies next.

June 2, 2021 - Wednesday - I like the part of Dallas where I live. It's pretty centrally located, close to the grocery store, some good food and only a few minutes from the office. About the only thing I wish were different is I had a better view of the evening sky. It's blocked mostly by houses and trees and a couple of buildings. We had some beautiful colors tonight.

June 1, 2021 - Tuesday - For Memorial Day Weekend I thought it would be a good idea to have some chili dogs. With all the food I made this weekend I never got around to making them. That all changed tonight. It's been a while since I had them and I was really craving them. Riley even had one and the dogs all got a little snack too.
