November 29, 2021 - Monday - I had the idea for a BLT a while back and when I ordered groceries they didn't bring me any bacon. Apparently Kroger was completely out of bacon?!?!?!? This time my order included the bacon but instead of the sandwich bread I ordered they sent me French dinner rolls. Regular Mrs. Bairds had to be good enough.

November 28, 2021 - Sunday - If you've follow me any amount of time you probably know I love breakfast for dinner any time. Tonight I made sausage and egg breakfast tacos. We have plenty for dinner and lots for breakfast tomorrow too. Not only that I may have shared one or two with the pups.

November 27, 2021 - Saturday - From time to time Biscuit get a bit jealous of Zak getting so much attention and she'll come and step over Zak and curl up in my lap. Zak gets so nervous he gets up and goes lays somewhere else. It funny how Biscuit is pretty much the Alpha of our pack.

November 26, 2021 - Friday - Almost anytime I make a move on the couch and Zak's not already with me he'll come from where ever he's at and come jump in my lap. I don't think I've ever had a dog that was so affectionate or maybe the better work is needy. Either way he likes to be with me almost all the time. I think I got pretty lucky with this guy.

November 25, 2021 - Thursday - Our Thanksgiving was uneventful this year. Dad went into the hospital yesterday afternoon but fortunately he was much better really quickly and was released later in the afternoon today. After being so busy with work it was nice to just relax on the couch and then having dinner with just Riley later.

November 24, 2021 - Wednesday - Tonight I ordered a pizza for dinner. I was eating while watching TV. Zak is usually the good one. He minds his manners and lays off to the side while I eat. The girls usually just sit and stare, especially Biscuit. This time Zak sat off to the side and just drooled.

November 23, 2021 - Tuesday - Today was kind of a sprint to the finish line to get a couple of things done and out the door before the holidays. It was a little more challenging with some of our coworkers starting the holidays early. At the end of the day I got on the couch and turned my brain off. Zak came up and joined me. I guess he had a tough day too.

November 22, 2021 - Monday - We've been really busy with work for the last several weeks and I've still not adjusted to this time change. Working even just a little late seems like working until 9:30. Thankful for leftovers tonight. I made my version of a baked ziti a while back and had a small dish in the freezer.

November 21, 2021 - Sunday - Today we slept in just a little, then got up to meet for breakfast. It was good to visit for just little bit more before having to get back on the road. Our first stop to fill the tank was in Gas, Kansas. This was on the pump. I really dislike political posts for or against any party on Social Media unless it's jokes.

November 20, 2021 - Saturday - Today my friend and his daughter who happens to be my God Daughter drove up to Kansas to see his other daughter, who is my other God Daughter. After dinner we went to her BF's and sat around a fire. I couldn't have asked for a better end to a great day. We got to be a bit late but it was all worth it. It was so good to see her and her baby girl.

November 19, 2021 - Friday - This is what I did with my brother's tomatoes. I warmed a little garlic and few basil leaves in some olive oil while I toasted some bread. When the bread was almost done I dropped the tomatoes in the oil turned up the heat until they split a bit. I poured that out over the bread and added some fresh basil and a sprinkle of feta. Amazing!

November 18, 2021 - Thursday - Today was a long day of work again. I have lots to do this week. By the end of the day I felt like I just needed to get out of the house. I called a friend and fortunately they were available to get dinner and a drink. It was good to get out for the evening even if I did have to come home and get some more work done.

November 17, 2021 - Wednesday - I had lunch with a friend and her daughter today. I shared with them the last of my cookies except this one. After seeing family and friends this weekend I went through all my cookies pretty quickly. I was trying to save this one for after dinner. It made it to a little before dinner.

November 16, 2021 - Tuesday - This isn't the best photo but it was kinda dark when I took this. When I'm not doing video work I like to listen to music while I work. I realized Zak is either sensitive to the tones of a muted trumpet or he thinks those songs are really sad. I meant to video him whimpering during some of the jazz music I was listening to.

November 15, 2021 - Monday - So Biscuit has had her turn in my lap and I guess Pancake decided it's her turn. She climbed up today before Biscuit got a chance and curled up in my lap to keep me company. She was sitting right next to me while I was working on my laptop. The two girls are like little heating pads.

November 14, 2021 - Sunday - I went over to my friend's to watch the Cowboy game. I stopped to get stuff to make guacamole and walked in just as the Cowboys scored their first touchdown. The guac, burgers and hot dogs were almost as good as the game. The cigars and whiskey were just as good.

November 13, 2021 - Saturday - After having lunch with a friend I went out to see dad and the rest of the family out in the country. I traded some cookies for some tomatoes from my brother's garden. Okay we didn't actually trade apparently he has a gazillion tomatoes and he's just trying to get rid of some.

November 12, 2021 - Friday - I ordered a bunch of cookies from Sparkle All Over. I got the Fall and Holiday Sampler because some is good but more is better. And also I got them to share with friends and family I'm seeing this weekend. It made getting through the rest of my work day a bit better.

November 11, 2021 - Thursday - We've been really busy with work and with the time change even if I don't work that late it still feels like I've worked a really long day. The last couple of days Biscuit has been a bit needy. She'll come over and run Zak off and then climb in my lap and go to sleep. She snores quite a bit too.

November 10, 2021 - Wednesday - I've not made oatmeal in a really long time. I think I've just been so busy lately with work I don't really ever take much of a break to make lunch. Today was the day. The dogs were all pretty grateful too. They all get a little bit of apple when I'm chopping it and a little bit of oatmeal when it's done.

November 9, 2021 - Tuesday - My doctor told me to buy these squishy eggs to exercise my hands. A couple of days ago Zak found one on the floor.. I tried to get it away from him but he swallowed it whole. It was recommended that I give it a couple of days to see if he'd "pass" it. It came out the way it went in along with a piece of one of his toys.

November 8, 2021 - Monday - I worked a little late today. Not too late it just seems so because it gets dark earlier. Tonight I watched Finch. It's a new movie with Tom Hanks on AppleTV+. It has a bit of a Wall-E kinda feel, but about half way through it made me think that I will most likely out live Zak. A thought that really sucks.

November 7, 2021 - Sunday - I worked most of the day today except during the Cowboy game. Sparkle All Over is launching her new Holiday Sampler. It has Dark Chocolate Red Velvet cookies in it. Like all her others they are amazing. I spent most of the evening retouching the photos for the site. Zak kept me company.

November 6, 2021 - Saturday - First off it's kind hard to take a photo of your own elbow. I'm not sure what caused this but it's quite inflamed. It started yesterday. It doesn't hurt much in general unless I touch it on anything which made sleeping last night pretty difficult. Also it's really warm. I napped quite a bit today to make up for it.

November 5, 2021 - Friday - This guy was just hugging the tree when I first saw him. I thought there's no way he'd still be there by the time I grabbed my camera, switched lens and get a photo. Riley went over and took a few photos and I started thinking he's just not moving. So I grabbed my camera, changed lens and this happened.

November 4, 2021 - Thursday - I ordered groceries yesterday and was planning on making this yesterday, but I ended up working a little late. Since this has to cook for so long I need to start earlier in the evening. Today I was able to wrap things up a bit earlier and get this going early enough to have it for dinner. It's perfect for this colder weather.

November 3, 2021 - Wednesday - I think I picked this up on my last trip to California on one of the beaches. I remember putting it in my back pocket and it's a little too big and sharp for that. I have a small rock from almost all the beaches I've been to recently. This is one of my favorites.

November 2, 2021 - Tuesday - This is the corner of my coffee table. I've had it for forever and have never really wanted to get rid of it for this and the other corner. Zeke chewed one corner when he was really young. Shadow chewed the other when he was a puppy. It always reminded me of them. Sad to see this go.

November 1, 2021 - Monday - After our shoot last Thursday I brought home a bunch of cookies. Sparkle All Over released a Fall Sampler a while back. One of her new cookies is the Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal and oh my goodness. It's like a bowl of my breakfast oatmeal in a cookie! Which makes it okay to have one for breakfast in my opinion.
