October 30, 2021 - Saturday - I spent most of the day working. My boss is quite the artist. It's weird calling him my boss and not just simply my friend. He's a cool guy and he's pretty talented. Anyway I spent most of the day working on a web site for him. He does a lot of sculptures and 3 dimensional art.

October 29, 2021 - Friday - It's like deja vu all over again.

October 28, 2021 - Thursday - Tonight we had a quick photo shoot with our friend who makes all the delicious cookies. After the week we've both had there was a big need for a good cigar and glass of really good whiskey. I know it's a school night but this was the perfect way to end a tough day.

October 27, 2021 - Wednesday - It was a long day of work today. Adobe released a bunch of updates to their Creative Suite. I've been working on a video project for the last week or two and I spent most of the day trying to get the project file to open. Getting it to link to the source videos and also do a little bit of actual editing. I don't know how this will work out.

October 26, 2021 - Tuesday - Today is one of my dearest friend's birthday. Fortunately things worked out and we were able to get out to celebrate. After a meal of a bunch of appetizers we had salads for dinner. These deviled eggs were pretty good, but not as good as the cake we had later. We've been friends for 20 years now.

October 25, 2021 - Monday - One of my friends is fostering two puppies and invited me to come see them and have dinner with her and her family. She has three kids and three dogs already. She also had another friend there with her dog too. Needless to say there was a lot going on in her house. These two puppies were so cute.

October 24, 2021 - Sunday - I don't remember much about what I did today with the Cowboys having a bye, but I do know that Zak really likes to snuggle. If he here's me lay down he runs over and lays down right in front of me. Thankfully I have a pretty deep couch. We did talk about how we need to go camping again now that the weather is cooling off.

October 23, 2021 - Saturday - Today was a really good day. I met my friend and one of my God Daughters for lunch in Arlington. I wished they lived close and I got to see them more often. This evening I went to a little party at my boss's home. Sometimes it's weird to refer to him as my boss. We've worked together almost 10 years. He's definitely more than just a boss.

October 22, 2021 - Friday - There was supposed to be four of us meeting for lunch at our favorite pho place. That turned into three of us this morning. Then it became two of us just as I sat down in the restaurant. It was nice to get to visit my friend and hear all about how her baby is growing. It seems every time I take a photo of a flower there's a bug on it.

October 21, 2021 - Thursday - The other day when I took Zak out I put the leash on his tag ring not the ring on the collar. When got out the door he took off an all his tags flew all over the porch. Fortunately he just wandered out front. As soon as I opened the car door he ran over and jumped in. He likes rides.

October 20, 2021 - Wednesday - More often than not Zak sleeps in the Living Room, but I always invite him. Last night he decided to stay on the couch. I went and got ready for bed and then went to brush my teeth. This what I came back to. Yes, that's one of the pillows I sleep with and no, he barely moved when I laid down.

October 19, 2021 - Tuesday - I watch a lot of YouTube. Lots of software how to's, lots of football and lots of cooking videos. I don't know what YouTube thinks I do or what in my viewing history makes it think it should serve me so many ads for the newest Gulfstream jets. I was thinking of getting a new car maybe I should look into other means of transportation.

October 18, 2021 - Monday - Today I got out to run an errand at lunch. The weather's getting cooler and it's been a while since he's been for a ride so I took Zak with me. He talked me into stopping to get him and the girls some Whataburger. He's thoughtful like that. He looks kinda high. Maybe he has the munchies.

October 17, 2021 - Sunday - After going and doing so much the last two days it was nice to just be at home watching football. It was crazy to watch the Cowboys march up and down the field and and the only thing slowing them down was all their own penalties. They hit this milestone on the way to their dramatic overtime win.

October 16, 2021 - Saturday - I went down to Cedar Hill to pick up a bottle of this for a friend. She couldn't find it anywhere near either of us. They had two bottles and I couldn't pass this up. I was about half way to my brother's so I went and had a glass with him. Later I went to my good friend's house and had a glass with him too. Not a bad day at all.

October 15, 2021 - Friday - Today was picture day at work. We also had a shower this morning for one of the guys and his wife. They're having a baby girl next month. Today was also Fair Day. We have a new girl who's new to Texas. Today was her first DART ride, first time at the Fair and her first Fletcher's Corn Dog. Welcome to Texas.

October 14, 2021 - Thursday - It's been so long since the Cowboys were any good and since there wasn't anything else I felt like watching tonight I watched the game I recorded Sunday. It was nice watching them beat the crap out of the Giants again. The only thing that could be better would be watching them beat the Eagles.

October 13, 2021 - Wednesday - Today for a late lunch Riley's BF went and picked up some sandwiches from Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. for us. I got the Cubanesque and it was so good. I don't know if they make their own pickles or where they get them, but they may have been the best part of the sandwich.

October 12, 2021 - Tuesday - Tonight I was relaxing on the couch with Zak. Pancake knows all she has to do is hop up near me and stare at Zak and he will move away. Once he left she curled up in my lap and went to sleep. I don't think I've ever had a wiry, scruffy dog like Pancake. She can be such a sweetheart.

October 11, 2021 - Monday - This afternoon we had a meeting at the office. Someone brought cookies. I don't remember the brand or even what this was called. I admit they looked good and are quite large, but they don't hold a candle to the cookies from my friend at Sparkle All Over. I have some Death by Chocolate at home and they're so much better.

October 10, 2021 - Sunday - Today a friend and I drove down to Austin for the day. We left early this morning and went to the Salt Lick for lunch. The blackberry cobbler was so good. This evening we attended a dear friend's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony. Wish we could have stayed longer but it's a long drive home and we both have to work tomorrow.

October 9, 2021 - Saturday - I had a lot to do this last week getting ready for a quick trip to Austin tomorrow. Today I only had a couple of errands to run. After I spend some quality time on the couch with the pups. Zak has finally relaxed enough to come lay next to me on the couch and just go to sleep. Especially if I lay down too.

October 8, 2021 - Friday - There quite a few of these little ones chasing each other around this tree outside my front window. Zak has gotten so much better about not losing it over them. He does growl a lot still, but that's much better barking. I need to clean my windows. The screen blurs this quite a bit but it's mostly a dirty window.

October 7, 2021 - Thursday - Not only does the lady at Sparkle make amazing cookies, she's also incredibly sweet herself. What may be my all time favorite cookie of hers is the Dark Chocolate Cherry Walnut. It was a Cookie of the Month a few months back but was only available for a limited time. She made a special batch and surprised me a big bunch of them with my last order.

October 6, 2021 - Wednesday - Tonight I met a friend I've not seen in a really long time for dinner. She has a new iPhone 13 and she wanted me to take a photo with my phone and her phone to see if there was any significant difference. If you don't clean the lens there is. This was growing outside the restaurant.

October 5, 2021 - Tuesday - Today after lunch I warmed up my last Stuffed Carrot Cake cookie from Sparkle All Over. She discontinued this flavor recently when she introduced some new Chocolate flavors. I still can't believe these were not one of her top sellers. I think if more people had tried them they would still be on the menu.

October 4, 2021 - Monday - Look Grandpa, I finally own a pair of Stacy Adams myself! My Grandpa worked hard his whole life, but from the moment he retired until the day he passed, you didn't see him dressed in anything less than Business Casual. Suits were common. He was very well dress all day every day. He liked his shoes too.

October 3, 2021 - Sunday - I met a couple of cousins this morning for breakfast then came home and watched the Cowboy game. I ran some errands after. One of them was getting my car washed and the inside cleaned. For the moment there's zero bird poop on my car. I'm sure it won't last long with this tree over the driveway, but it looks nice for now.

October 2, 2021 - Saturday - It's been a while since I've been to my friend's house. Today was the day. I don't know why more people don't spend their afternoons doing this. I good drink and a nice cigar is all it takes to make a good day a significantly better day. Good company is pretty key too.

October 1, 2021 - Friday - After work I got out and ran a few errands. I've needed some new shoes for a while but hadn't taken the time to get any. These are my new shoes, they're black.
