May 30, 2022 - Monday - Today I went out to visit dad. He was over at my brother’s house when I got there. My brother showed me around his garden. He told me he’s had these grapevines growing for a while but this is the first time I’ve seen grapes on them. There were lots of bundles of grapes all over this vine. I left with some tomatoes, onions and garlic too.

May 29, 2022 - Sunday - Tonight I grilled some burgers and corn for Riley and I for dinner. I also picked up some Shiner earlier today. I wish it would have been in the fridge a bit longer. This wasn’t quite as cold as I would have liked. But even still sitting outside while the burgers were grilling with a cold-ish beer wasn’t too shabby.

May 28, 2022 - Saturday - Today I spent some more time watching the new episodes of Stranger Things that were released yesterday. It’s weird, I’ve loved all my dogs, but I don’t know why I feel so much closer to this one more than any of the others except maybe Vegas. He seems like he really looks at me like he’s not just a dog. Vegas was like that too.

May 27, 2022 - Friday - Today I met a former coworker for lunch. We met near the office. Turns out we’re practically neighbors. It was good to see her again and get caught up on movies, shows and our pets. She suggested I start watching Truth Be Told. There’s two seasons already but I think tonight I’ll start with Stranger Thing’s new season.

May 26, 2022 - Thursday - Riley bought a jar of raspberry preserves. I’m not a big fan of raspberries so I picked up a jar of the cherry preserves from the same company. It’s really good. The next time I was at the grocery store I picked up what I thought was blackberry preserves. Turns out it was blueberry. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s really good too. I shared these with the pups.

May 25, 2022 - Wednesday - Today we had a shoot for Sparkle All Over. She has a Father’s Day promotion coming up. She has three new flavors just for the occasion and they’re all Classics, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodle and peanut butter. Those three and the Ultimate Chocolate Chip are included in the Father’s Day Gift sets. I may order one just for myself.

May 24, 2022 - Tuesday - This evening it started raining. Zak’s a big chicken when it comes to bad weather, especially thunder. He was on the couch when I went to bed. After turning off all the lights lightning struck lighting up the whole house. Zak came right into my room and jumped in bed. He usually doesn’t like his paws being held unless he’s scared.

May 23, 2022 - Monday - I always get a little excited when Zak and Pancake lay anywhere near each other. Pancake will go lay in Zak’s kennel sometimes. She looks tiny laying in the middle of bed in his kennel.

May 22, 2022 - Sunday - I eat this pretty often too. It's nothing pretty but it's simple and I really love cheddar and honeycrisp apples together. I'm trying to get through this box of crackers though. They're water crisp crackers that barely taste like anything other than cardboard. The dogs seem to like them. Of course it may be the apples and cheese with it.

May 21, 2022 - Saturday - I saw a nutritionist yesterday while I was visiting my rheumatologist. She was really nice and asked me to keep a "food diary." This my entry for lunch, spicy grilled chicken with onions, tomatoes and feta on warm pita. There was some grilled zucchini and corn too.

May 20, 2022 - Friday - I have some buttermilk in the fridge and some bananas on the counter that are beyond eating like a banana. So breakfast for dinner it is. I really need to write down recipes. I made them like I normally do and had a big stack of pancakes when I was done. I think I have breakfast for the next two days.

May 19, 2022 - Thursday - I went to meet a friend I've not seen it a while. We went out to a burger place for dinner. Usually I'm not a big fan of sweet potato anything, but these fries were really good. Not as good as the frozen yogurt we had after but still pretty good.

May 18, 2022 - Wednesday - I have some tomatoes that need to be used. So I made myself a little bit of breakfast for lunch today. Does anyone else go through phases of loving the process of cooking and then being frustrated by the time it takes to do any of it. I seem to be between those to places right now and would just as soon order something on my phone.

May 17, 2022 - Tuesday - Today I joined my friend at the bakery to get some new footage. One of the perks of being in the kitchen with her is getting to taste some of her ideas. This is a Peanut Butter cookie with a chunk of dark chocolate inside. The hardest part was waiting for it to cool enough to eat. Had I known how good it tasted I probably would have burned my mouth on this.

May 16, 2022 - Monday - I was out back with my friend's dog so she could do her business. I was standing next to my friend's garden. She had some beautiful tomatoes and a dill "tree" that's huge. I think this little one was standing on top of the basil keeping an eye out for snacks. It stuck around long enough for me to go in and get my camera.

May 15, 2022 - Sunday - I'm going over to a friend's to dog/house sit for a few days. My driveway is shaded by a tree that drops the green fuzzy things and powder in Spring. On the way to my friend's houae I finally took my car to get it all washed off. It's been filthy for quite a while now and there's been no use washing it until now.

May 14, 2022 - Saturday - Round 2! This time I warmed up the Ultimate Chocolate Chip cookie from Sparkle All Over and then broke it into pieces over a little bit of vanilla from Blue Bell. I not sure which is better tonights version or yesterday's. They're both so good and I'm not even that big on ice cream.

May 13, 2022 - Friday - Last week I mentioned that a bit of vanilla ice cream would go really well with cookies from Sparkle All Over's  Chocolate Lovers 4-Pack. I was sooooo right! I warmed up this Death by Chocolate and had it will some Blue Bell. Two really great things from Texas! The perfect evening snack.

May 12, 2022 - Thursday - I tried moving my photo library on my internal hard drive to an external. It was too slow. In the process of moving it back I had to re-tag some of my photos. Photos recognizes different things automatically and gives you links to more info on what it detects. Pancake, who's the size of a medium cat is apparently the smallest Siberian Husky ever.

May 11, 2022 - Wednesday - I met my good friend and her relatively new husband out for dinner tonight. He's not much for sweets so our obligatory after dinner ice cream included a little bag of what he thought were sour candies. They're not. So glad she found a guy that's really a cool guy.

May 10, 2022 - Tuesday - I bought some boneless pork ribs the other day to make these. I've not made them in forever. They were my photo of the day back in 2012. A bit of blackening seasoning and brown sugar is all it takes to make these come off the grill a little sticky and a little spicy. Riley even liked them!

May 9, 2022 - Monday - I was out back yesterday and I noticed this long row of whatever these are growing in the crack between the foundation and the walk that goes down the side of the house. I'm guessing these are weeds but I spent a few minutes looking to see if I could find one with four leaves. No such luck.

May 8, 2022 - Sunday - With the four flavors that came in the Chocolate Lovers 4-Pack I got the other day it's hard to decide which to eat first and/or which to save for last. Do you start with your favorite or save the best for last? I'm not sure which I did but I started with the Texas Sheet Cake. It tastes just the way you think it should.

May 7, 2022 - Saturday - The other day at Sparkle All Over's pop up I picked up one of her new 4-packs. I know last week I mentioned I had lots of cookies, but I couldn't not buy some more. Duh! I admit that I miss getting the little thank you notes that she puts in the dozen boxes. I kinda feel like I need a little pint of vanilla ice cream to go with these!

May 6, 2022 - Friday - Some family has joined a co-ed softball team. I went out to watch them play tonight. It was a beautiful evening to be outside and even though their team isn't that good it was fun to watch and hang out with some of the rest of the family. Going to a late dinner after was even more fun.

May 5, 2022 - Thursday - Today was a very full day. I did quite a bit of work. I had lunch today with a friend and then went to meet a friend at Sparkle's pop up tonight at Rusty Taco. She had a great turnout and we got some breakfast tacos too. Pancake has taken to lying here on the back of the couch right next to my desk. This is the only photo I got today.

May 4, 2022 - Wednesday - I finally found some wings at the grocery store the other day. After learning how my friend grills them at his place I decided to give them a try for Riley. She's a huge fan of wings. I still had a couple of beers in the fridge to go with these too. For my first try on my own with this new grill they turned out pretty good.

May 3, 2022 - Tuesday - This is still the best part of my days. Pancake, Biscuit and Zak all take turns laying with me at some point while I'm on the couch each evening I'm here. Pancake and Zak are even beginning to get a little closer. She's not completely comfortable around him yet but she's getting better with him.

May 2, 2022 - Monday - I have had way more cookies than a person should have for a while. Between shoots and orders I've made it's almost embarrassing the number of cookies I've had. Not that I feel guilty in the least. This is my last Ultimate Chocolate Chip and regardless I'm still sad.

May 1, 2022 - Sunday - We slept in just a little bit this morning and then made our way back home. After a quick stop for breakfast we got back midmorning. We did a quick shoot this afternoon and then came back to my friend's house for dinner. Yogi really likes to play fetch and I think he miss having someone to throw his toy the last couple of days.
